something to be considered...

Suppose that the best comes to happen..and we find out by Saturday that the lockout is over and the season will start the weekend of February 11th. What do we do about Erat and Hall? Re-make the final offer to get them back in the lineup..and if they choose not to accept it...tell them to enjoy the CR and Finland, respectively? Give their spots to Pivko and Gamache? Interesting things to consider.

Surely we would try to make them an offer.

An article on today's talks in the Globe and Mail

Recent talks go to a rubber match
NHL not expected to table new offer

Who knows what they will come up with," said Nashville Predators veteran Scott Walker.Should anything be read into the fact that Goodenow and Bettman have not been invited to the dance? Not really.

I expect that Gamache and Pivko will get a look in the event Hall and Erat are slow to come over. But I also expect that in the end, Poile will be able to get them over and playing here.

I wonder if we would try to make a push to sign Stehlik. We were pursuing getting him under contract pretty heavily until the lockout killed off contract negotiations . Just think what our Admiral blueline would be like with Hamhuis and possibly Hutchinson leaving.
