It's not really fair since Gaborik is injured. I think Hank will prevail though as Sweden is ultimately better than Slovakia. Could be close though

Has Hank even given up a goal yet?

Sweden wins.

In his life?
yes.

In this tournament? No.

but, to be fair, he hasn't exactly been challenged.

No he hasn't.

the only goals sweden gave up were because of the maple leafs' goaltender.

Most of the goals against him are due to the rangers defense not doing their job... not clearing rebounds, not clearing the crease, coughing up numerous numerous golden opportunities.

It was already damn hard to beat him with a bad defense, now he has a good one.

Granted germany is a pushover team, but you can't say that about finland (they ARE one of the 4 teams that earned a bye), and he notched a shutout against them too

Finland played like crap. They got only a few real good shots on Henrik, and none of those would you consider to be gimmes that he robbed them on. Henrik has never had this easy a go of it, probably at any level. Swedes are holding the puck for HUGE periods of time in the offensive zone, are keeping everything away from the middle of the ice in the defensive zone, and are clogging up the neutral zone like nobodies business. They are dismantling teams with defense and puck possession.

was it not the last time Gaborik played against Lundqvist, King left with five ones? I am pretty sure that he know about all his weaknesses and will share it further..

No, it was a while ago, not last time. To be fair, the defense was absolutely brutal in that game. Go watch the youtube video and tell me how many of those goals were really Hank's fault. Doubt the Swedish defense will let the Slovakian forwards take such liberties, but you never know

you guys can disagree with me if you want but from watching Sweden's games so far, I feel like Lundqvist has not been tested with that many quality shots.

I can not believe how much room the Swedish defender gave Gaborik on that shot. You can't allow arguably the best shooter in the world THAT MUCH open space to rip a one-timer. Hank had no chance.

Wow, 2 goals in 37 secs for Slovakia, and Sweden responds with 2 goals in 37 secs of their own. Shaping up to be yet ANOTHER great game today. I LOVE HOCKEY.

well its a mixed bag, hank is out which sucks but he's our most important player and now he gets to rest for almost a week before the next game which is really important to us. My only hope is that gabby doesn't sustain an injury on friday or the rest of the tourny. He's back to full health it seems and we need him for the stretch run as much as hank.

Well, if there is one thing we know, Canada will be jacked to win & will come out hitting hard again.

Hopefully Gab will be good at avoiding any huge hitters that could be lurking around the corner (like Morrow, Weber, Pronger, etc.).

Can't lie... I missed that moment while giving my sofa a pounding, throwing a remote, and ripping the electric cord out of the wall.

Agreed. Happy moment for those guys despite Henrik's loss.

I woke up this morning to this!!!! Oh wow, I am happy and I am sad... Hank gets to go home (although without a medal) and rest up, but Gaborik has to work a little bit more (Tyler Seguin??) but hopefully like everyone said he doesn't get injured in the Canada game (Tyler Seguin??).

This is also bad becuase I think Canada will be in the Gold Medal Game and I really don't want Canada to be there, let alone face us becuase if we face them again I think we will lose

I'd love to see this too, woke up bleary eyed just as the game was finishing and didn't really pay attention.
