Franson, if he's considered a prospect.

I havent voted franson because in my mind he's not a prospect, regardless of the HF definition.

Pickard is my choice here, based on highest potential not where he actually stands now...

Pickard based on how far along he is now, age, and how high his ceiling still is.

I don't understand how Franson can be our 3rd best prospect. Granted he is in the nhl but he was slow (or not quick) in getting here and his upside now looks like a 4th (max. 3rd) dman with some decent scoring touch. I don't see him winding up better than, say, Hamhuis and he could wind up like Mark Eaton. On the other hand Josi and COR, while further away, seem to have much more upside potential. Pickard, like Blum and Wilson, is not quite as far along the path toward nhl regular as Franson but is close and has far greater upside.

Depending on whether you prefer upside or progress, I could see Franson above or below Ellis, Josi, COR, Budish, Beck... but I can't see him above Pickard.

I went with potential on this pick - Chet Pickard. Korn turns backups into starters. I can't wait to see what he does with Chet.

I really like Pickard, I think he has the chance to be a big time goalie. Although I haven't seen very many of his games.

But I went with Josie because I haven't seen any of his games. Only a few clips. I mean, every time someone chimes in who does get to see him they seem to gush about him. So I have no idea if he's legit but I am excited to find out.

Josi, seen him play in the WJC and he was awesome. Him and Sbisa will anchor the Swiss national teams defence for a longggg time. You guys have a great prospect in this guy.
