It's perfect for the Leafs, so if it works for Atlanta-it's done like dinna

this may actually work for both sides. the NJ first is gonna be mid 20's at best, not something i would die to part with in order to help bolster our roster for the playoff push.

possible lines?

bergfors-antro-little
kane-peverley-afinogenov
ponikorovsky-slater-grabovski
boults-reasoner-thorburn

that finally gives us three scoring lines for the first time since the beginning of the season. i'd do it.

I think they'd look a bit stronger with White in the 3rd line C spot. I'm no expert on the Thrashers, but I thought he was a pretty good player. Maybe take out him and the 3rd?

I've always thought Grabovski would be better suited for the wing (offensively). He crapped out on the dot early in the season but his faceoff % has dramatically improved as the season went on. Plus, the Leafs don't have any legit centers, so that eliminated any chance of throwing Grabo on the wing. Has Kane played center this season? That's a lineup with 6 players that could potentially play center..

Wahh?

Who plays center for us? Bozak, Wallin, Primeau and Mitchell? White would be more productive than any of those guys this year..

Is Atlanta trying to recycle all our players?? Worked pretty well for Kubina. Turn poni into a 30 goal scorer if you resign him ehh ehh?

Have you watched him much?

The fact that the Leafs are dying for a good center right now and yet Grabovski is still being shopped by just about every Leaf fan should tell you just about everything you need to know.

Not really. He's been injured for a long time, which tends to lead to a lot of trade proposals for some reason. Also he has a new contract, which tends to have the same effect.

Realistically, Burke isn't trading him, Wilson likes the way he plays and thinks he has more to show.

I'm thinking:
Bergfors-Antropov-Little
Ponikarovsky-Grabovski-Afinogenov
Kane-Peverley-Slater
Boulton-Reasoner-Thorburn

+1

Grabovsky is one-dimensional, gets knocked off the puck very easily and attemps risky plays. He also seems to be kind of a locker room cancer (problems with the Kostitsyn's in Montreal, Blake in Toronto)

The guy cannot be a top 6 guy on a good team (He's not even good enough to be a top-6 on the low-key leafs).

In my mind, I don't think he holds much value.

Come on Leaf fans. I mean... as useful as White is... he's 35 in two months! And Armstrong's a UFA and is playing like *****! If BB wants him he'll sign him in July! I'd love the draft pick but that's about it!

No doubt his contract has something to do with it, but I don't know why a team would willingly want to give up anything for the right to pay Grabovski almost $3 million for two more years. He's a majorly flawed player for a guy making that much money.

irrelevant seeing as our top 3 lines all get about the same ice time even strength, but did you just imply that poni and grabovski are better than peverley and kane?

white hasn't exactly been great this season, he and kozlov have both been god awful this whole season and unfortunately that means little is always stuck playing with them to try and re-find the chemistry the three had last season.

slater isn't great but he has decent skill when he isn't falling over. he's a solid 3rd line C at least for our team

I have to go with no from the point of view of a Thrashers fan.

I maybe in the minority among Thrashers fans, but I do not want to give up either of our 1st round picks and like a poster above mentioned, I do not want to be stuck with Gravovski's contract for the next few years.

kane hasn't played center at all so far. most likely since we are deeper at center than LW

unfortunately little, antro, and kane have all proven to be better as wingers. antro has done fine at C except for the faceoff dot. wish they would just have little take the faceoffs and then switch positions with antro afterwords. not that little is great at faceoffs either but he's better than antro.
