Olympic team goaltenders

Kind of surprised to see all three picks being veterans. Would have thought that the third spot would have went to one of the "goalie of the future" types - either Niemi, Rask or someone like that.

Hard to imagine a veteran would want to spend three more weeks practicing with little chance of appearing in the games.

Niittymäki came close to winning gold last time around... I'm fairly certain he doesn't mind another shot to get the one that got away. Even as a reserve.

Have you check these two guys? Dmitri Orlov and Maxim Kitsyn
They are from Russia that led Metallurg Novokuznetsk to grab a gold medal in the National Finals for 1992-born players held in Magnitogorsk.

If finnish coaches are intelligent they don't engage Kipper anymore he showed at the Olympic very disappointing performance. If you want be number 1 you have to show better performance Kipper than you did by these Olympics!

Finland has enough good goalies they don't need Kipper!

Kipper had one really bad game and the team didn't help him either.

I'm not gonna blame the lost on him...the whole team got smashed.

Don't you feel some shame? You're just ridiculous. Stop talking bsh1t.

Kipper was the Man. The team just didn't have enough balls to make it to the final, you can't win if you don't score any goals and you can't defend.

True, and if your goalie is a sieve too.

Good comeback for Kipper in the bronze game.
