So I've heard all week that the game was going to be tape delayed in the Pacific time zone and shown at 3, but this gdt says 12:00PM PST (NBC-HD, CTV/TSN/Sportsnet/Online.)
Did they come to their senses and decide to show it live on NBC, or is it being shown at 3?
I know this is last minute, but does anyone know a sweet place to watch the game in the south bay? Is there a bar thats having a viewing party or anything? I was thinking the Brit in SJ but I'm not sure. I think it would be real fun to watch this game at a packed bar with 'USA USA USA!' chants going on.
All I can tell myself is we have the better team. It doesn't mean it's a lock, and obviously the gap is small, but we have the better team, and if they play their best game, we'll win.

GO USA!!!
My friends went to the Brit in SJ for the first game between these teams and said there was a fair amount of Canada fans actually but that there was a lot of people. I would think that would be a good place to watch it. Or Double Ds in Los Gatos

They never expected it to be Canada vs US. Once they started seeing the ratings they changed their mind. No altruistic reasons here.
It will be at 12:00PM on the West Coast. They've mentioned it 100 times during recent Olympic broadcasts to make sure people know they've changed their minds.

Thanks for the tip. I'd actually like for some Canada fans to be there. Makes it more intense. haha
For those that missed it, Brian Burke was interviewed yesterday by Bob Costas, Bob asked him about the NHL's continued participation in the Olympics. Burke totally called out NBC. I am paraphrasing, but he basically said that NBC had given hockey the shaft until they got the match ups they wanted and ratings started going through the roof and that this doesn't change the problems they've had with the kind of treatment NBC has given to hockey in general during the last 3 Winter Olympics.

There's a lot of hate for Brian Burke, but I actually like this dude.
Sure, he empties the prospect pool as much as I do in NHL video games but he has balls.
McReary/O'Halloran - NOW we're gonna need a miracle.

I can't believe they aren't required to use neutral refs.
They should, but barring that they could have done something like the first matchup, Watson/Rooney. One from each country. I won't go farther, but these are the last two I would select for their neutrality.

Saw this interview the other night. Awesome of Burke to put NBC in its place while live on air. It looked like it caught Costas off guard as well as he had a puzzled look on his face after that response.
