I didn't want Toews to score at all. Up to this point in the olympics the US has not been behind I believe

I'm getting worried here, Heatly seems to be a prime target for hard body checks

I hope Perry gets a penalty.

I don't feel good knowing Canadians have the lead!

I guarantee you a ton of fans will cry foul, saying J Johnson is a little ***** for doing that. And how quickly they'll forget that Niedermayer did the same thing the last time these two teams met ...

Like I've been saying, if a Shark gets hurt in this game (and makes them miss Sharks reg. season or playoff games, or they don't play the same after the Olympics) everyone's tune will change about how excited they are for this Olympics and this great USA/Canada Gold Medal Game.

One of the downsides of having the most players in the Olympics is they are all going to need a several days to mentally recuperate even if there are no physical issues.

Kind of like in 2006 when the Red Wings had the most NHL players in the Olympics (especially a bunch of Team Sweden, who won)? Yeah, I remember later that year when the Red Wings lost in 6 to the Oilers in the first round.

I pretty much don't really care about the result, and I definitely don't care about anyone not on the Sharks, so I'd prefer Crosby never get on the ice.

Not me, whatever happens and affects the regular season is worth it. I have been absolutely loved these olympics and have been anticipating them for 4 years. Seeing crosby and iginla, sharks line, the emergence of shea webber/drew doughty and duncan keith show casing his abilities on a national stage has been terrific. Ryan millers play in net for the national stage, ovechkin and the russians forgetting to show up when it counts are great hockey stories. I will always remember these olympics. While thornto/marleau/heatley or even crosby could get hurt i will forget who they lose to in the playoffs while i will always remember the other stories i mentioned.

Ask the players if they would they rather win the SC or win the Olympics, and most will say win the gold medal (look at Remenda's interviews for the Sharks responses). Why else are they going to play this tournament and not get paid? This is free but to them, its worth the risk. If it wasn't this would look like the NFL All-Star game and players would stay home with little bumps and bruises.

I don't think everyone's tune is going to change. Its the risk of matching country against country and a risk players and a lot of hockey fans are OK with.

Couldn't agree more.

Injuries can happen anytime. Maybe we shouldn't play any games.

You are going to go out on a limb and say that people will be upset if a Shark is injured and it ruins our playoff chances?

Such a risky prediction
