Team USA appreciation thread

You have nothing to be ashamed about. You played your hearts out, and almost won it in the end.

It was one hell of a ride.

Good job USA. That Parise goal was epic.

Didn't give up, and fought hard until the end. Good job USA. Good job.

Better luck next time.

Hopefully you guys won't be pushing the whole underdog thing so hard in Sochi.

Hell yeah, USA!

Canada can have hockey. I'll take living in the best country in the world over some dumb sport.

We won't get any credit from the Canada fans here, but team USA was awesome this year. Nobody predicted us to play today.

I'm proud of them, there's no shame in losing to a team like Canada. Erik Johnson played studly today.

Great job USA. I was really happy with the team assembled, and they all played their hearts out. Hockey is NOT Canada's sport, at least not for much longer, I'd be worried if I were them becuase we are really catching up.

This was a great effort by USA Hockey. Absolutely nothing be ashamed of. Let's not forget 16 of 23 guys on Team USA are under 25. If the NHL keeps sending players to the Olympics then the USA is going to be a force for a long time.

Canada was a heavy favorite to win before the games, USA wasn't expected to medal. USA beat them in pool play and then took them to Overtime in the Gold Medal game.

Good job team USA.

Congratulations to Team USA, there is absolutely no shame in that loss. That was a great hockey game from both teams, as high a tempo and skill level I've seen in a long, long time.

Burke and Wilson should be thanked for assembling such a squad and having them run like a well oiled machine. Wilson was second to no one on the bench.

Yzerman and Co. did what they were asked to do, congratulations to them as well. Watching Sid get the goal was a great cap to an underappreciated performance.
