I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, there are no Sharks fans in the Gold Medal game. You are either rooting for the American's or the Canadiens. Obviously, I'm rooting for the Americans. Not to begrudge our friends from the north, but payback is a you know what. They beat the US in Salt Lake for the Gold, we need to beat them for the Gold in Vancouver.

A win-win situation would be for America to win the gold and the Sharks to win the Stanley Cup. Any other outcome would suck.

As long as their are no injuries to Pavelski, Thornton, Marleau, Heatley, and Boyle, it's a win for Sharks fans.

I doubt I'm the only person who will be watch tomorrow hoping that Pavelski and Marleau don't bang into each other, or any Sharks gets cheap shotted into an injury that has a severe impact on what really matters, the Sharks Quest for the Stanley Cup.

Just one more day and then we can all go back to being friends.

That solely depends on who wins...

Anyways, I'm off to creating the GDT.

good point

and on that note I really feel bad for Slovakia, I really hoped they won Bronze, but you could see they just ran out of gas.

So basically, in the Bronze Medal game, the team that USA blew out beat the team that Canada barely beat.

I have been reading some stuff on the main board during the Olympics and while Thornton took some heat (which he deserved IMHO), Heatley, Marleau and Boyle were given a lot of credit...

As for tonight: as a German, I root for Team Canada, because of Patty and company, but I wonīt be bitter if that young Team USA wins it all. A lot of players I really like on that team. My only downer: I donīt want Ron Wilson to win it all. Never liked his sarcasm and his "Ron - God - Wilson can do no wrong"-attitude...

I lost all respect for him after the "I'm glad they went out early in the playoffs" comments.

Think there will be much traffic on Canada's streets today?

I'm sure there will be plenty in front of Ryan Miller.
