These. also Backes. Ive always liked Getzlaf as well.
Seeing Getzlaf talk **** to Malkin along the bench gave me new respect for him. Some frown upon that, I view it as a sign of passion and emotional attachment to the game. In no way do the players view it as a chore, and I love it.
being a canadian fan I was impressed by all on our side except for thornton but a few of the u.s. players really caught my eye, the first being ryan kesler. he gives 110% every shift. id absolutely lose my mind playing against him, he can agitate he can score he is amazing on the pk and just as good at faceoffs. hes going to be key to the canucks playoff success. the second being ryan suter, he had a teriffic tourney. not the flashiest guy but is just plain solid in all aspects of the game
Technically they were playing man to man so it was actually Rafalski's fault for not sticking with Crosby................
Not that he wasn't already great but Suter was phenomenal in this tourney. I was surprised even as a Preds fan. I hope this help him take an even further step to establish himself as one of the best Dman in the game. He was VERY close to being flawless defensively the whole tourney. Which is amazing for the amount of time he played.
Toews. To be honest, always thought he was slightly overrated...not anymore. What a beauty.
Others. Kesler, always liked his work ethic, but I got to see more of it on a regular basis. Great player, underrated before the tournament.
Luongo. Liked him, Like him more now. Maybe this is him getting over the hump for big games. So glad he could do it in Vancouver. Hopefully he can put a solid run together in the playoffs. I'm not worried about him not coming up big in the game that matters anymore.
