plus morrow for sure. when he was first named to the team i was thinking "steve yzerman are you ******* high". but of course he made me eat my words. morrow was great on the forecheck, had great chemistry with perry and getzlaf and was very responsible defensively.
Ryan Miller went from being a guy I didn't really like (as in, being a fan of his) to now being one of my favourite goaltenders.
Drew Doughty as well. I always liked him since his junior days, and it continued in to the NHL, but his play at the Olympics was simply outstanding and make me like him even more than I already did. Now, he's my favourite player.
Drew Doughty. That kid is just incredible. All the skills, makes the right decisions, good positioning. He was as good as any player in the tournament, IMO
Johnathan Toews. What a big performer. He was just tremendous in every game for Canada, great performer on the big stage.
Ryan Suter. I thought he might have been the second best D-man in the tournament. Doesn't make mistakes, plays solid, and has a little more talent physically and in the Offensive zone then you hear about.
Zach Parise. I have a whole new level of respect for this guy. A ton of skills, and one of the best work ethics on either team. Just persistent and refuses to give up on the play.
As a Kings fan, the love for Doughty was already at near capacity.
As for players, Kesler and Parise. I knew Parise was talented and have seen him in enough games, but good grief, he is a game breaker. He has the potential to become one of the if not the best American born hockey player by the time he retires.
My man-crush on Toews has gone from "healthy" to "unhealthy"
I'm going to e-mail Pierre for advice
He's probably the last person to seek help from. You wouldn't solve your alcoholism problem by going to the bartender, would you?
As for my crushes, Crosby without a doubt. He had all the pressure in the world on him and he came through in the biggest moment. I don't care how he played before (I thought he was very good throughout). Toews is the next Yzerman. Nash can do it all. And among guys I didn't appreciate enough before, Duncan Keith is a rock.
