I'd like to retain Prospal, if possible.

Well if we are looking to trade Prospal to kinda rebuild, what difference does it make where you get those 20 minutes from? You are clearly conceding the season anyway. So obviously Bobby Sanguinetti or Heikkenen will come up and play.

Then next season you hopefully can rid the team of Rozsival and Redden and acquire solid veteran defensemen, preferably tough stay at home quality players to replace them.

In a couple of years, the defense could look like this:

Staal-Veteran
McDonagh-Veteran
Del Zotto-Sanguinetti

I'd move him for a first... but I also wouldn't trade him just to trade him. Or maybe I would lol

I dont care if Propsal wants to remain a Ranger. I care if he wants to keep his current salary and remain a Ranger.

How about Prospal and a prospect to try and pry Teubert away from the Kings?

Eh, I wouldn't add to Prospal to get Teubert unless it was a C or D level prospect or late pick.

Whitney was supposedly going to fetch Teubert and a 2nd rounder, and while Whitney is a better player, he's also not as versatile as Prospal in terms of being able to play center as well as the left wing.

With so many teams vying for a spot, there are likely to be few sellers this year. That should drive the price up.

So Prospal for Teubert straight up?

It certainly addresses a need for the Rangers. And at a cheap cap hit.

What about that same concept, but Prospal to the Sharks for Petrecki instead?

Done. Done. Done. I loved Teubert in his draft year, I was hoping the Rangers would grab him because they lacked that big, mean, physical defenseman.

He played in the capital region for the longest time(Albany area). He is from Clifton Park and Schenendhowa high school for those who are from the area. He played for the CD Selects before he went to Omaha and I played him there.

That kid is a truck, literally. Mean, physical and a very good skater.

Prospal has a better chance @ the cup on another team.. use that 1st rounder to trade up in the draft.

OT But... I hit up the Albany area every year to go to Gus's...I have a place in Lake Placid so on our way up it's a little family tradition and hit Gus's for them little hot dogs. Love that place!...Should be on a Man Vs Food episode!

Totally agree. One of the better places to get some grub in the area.
