Similar in that they're paying
any amount of money for a guy to play elsewhere. You're not allowed to pick up the tab on players you trade or add cash to any deals, so the only way you get stuck paying another team's player is through re-entry waivers. This is now twice they've had to do it, which just isn't good cap management. Now as others have pointed out, he's UFA after this year, but still...never good to pay for other teams' guys.
