If sather can get Penner, Souray for Redden , Dubinsky, Sangunietti, Lisin. Well it just has to be done. I hatge losing Dubi but getting rid of Redden is fantastic. Penner is a big dude and would fit nicely in Dubi's place

Fitzy normally I agree with you...but Chris Drury did not look like the recent Chris Drury...he looked like 06-07 Chris Drury...Cally is what he is...but that is a good thing in my opinion...

I wonder if Sather is working 2 sides of the deals. One as a Seller and one as a buyer. What do the Sharks want ? MAybe Sather slides in and steals the deal offered to the Islanders for Sutton?

He can't.

Souray has 9 million left on his contract, Redden is still owed 23 million.

Souray has a sweetheart deal compared to Redden.

Volchenkov available? Glen please, do some magic!

Bryan Murray was just on Team 1200. Here is a quick recap of what the Sens GM had to say with the deadline just a couple days away.

Murray said the Senators did have an interest in Leopold but felt the asking price was a little too high. Murray mentioned that there are some players they may consider moving but it all depends on what they are getting back.

Murray spoke about Volchenkov and said they have made zero progress in negotiations. He will listen to trade offers in the next couple of days. Very surprising but understandable.

The guy might never ever had a value as high as it is now. Might not be a bad time to deal him

I'd love Volchenkov, but isn't he a UFA at the end of the season?

I just can't imagine the team without both Dubinsky and Callahan..................it would freaking weird. Thing is if Sather wants to make a bold move and shake up the team moving one or both does that.
In the end I will be shocked if Cally is moved but not if Dubi is moved for the right package

Yes, he is. He is one of the players I was hoping Sather would target in the offseason.

So basically we are hearing of 2 deals in place? Florida and Edmonton?

Girardi, Dubinsky, Rozsival are the names we are hearing along with Souray, Penner, Horton. Interesting.

Not expecting anything to happen.

I'm off to watch a few episodes of The Wire. When I get back, I'd love to see some deals completed.

He does get a tad stupid at the deadline though. Antropov and Backman come to mind.

If Baltimore calms you down, the Rangers must be really bad.
