No. I am not interested in player we have almost no chance of signing. His motivation will be suspect, with one foot out the door who's wouldn't? I get the impression that guys like Volch who are looking for a payday are going to be more interested in staying healthy than in winning.

Adrian Dater (Avs beat writter) is reporting via Twitter that the Sharks and Hawks have scouts at tonight's Avs/Hawks game.

The Hawks are playing the Wings on Sunday (which may explain why their scouts are there) but the Sharks don't play the Avs till late March.

Originally I wasn't going to really start the deadline thread until D-day so that people weren't starting on page 5 or 6 for the actual deadline coverage, but I think we can handle tonight and tomorrow there.

so if no one minds, I'm going to close this thread and redirect everyone here and we can all start speculating and discussing over there. I've also gathered and written a ton of useful info.
