Useless. We want a goon to fight anybody we have Neilson in AHL.
If the freaking Flyers decided to let him go, then there must be something wrong with him.
Oh i don't know, maybe it's because they have Carcillo, Asham and Lapperrierre who defend their teammates on a constant basis + Pronger, Coburn and Hartnell who can handle themselves pretty well.
Please please please Pierre go get him, here's one that won't mind being put on the stands and would use his opportunities to make statements. Côté is a freak, one of the most entertaining fighters out there and on a really cheap salary.
If it had of been Cote fighting Lapperiere I honestly think the Habs would have beat the flyers that second game. The game was over as soon as OB hit the ice. Cote would have schooled Lapperiere.
What will it take for people to finally understand that Nielson... IS.. NOT.. UNDER.. CONTRACT.. WITH.. THE... HABS... damn.
Add me to the Cote bandwagon. Worst case, he stinks and we waive him, too. $600K in Hamilton? Meh... maybe he can show Neilson, Greg Stewart and Andrew Conboy a thing or two. Help them develop a bit, you know?

That makes no sense on so many different levels. That fight had basically nothing to do with losing that game. Missing half the roster and having the other half running on fumes had everything to do with it.

How hard is it to sign him to a contract for the balance of the season? ...or call up Henry.
JM wants to play 4 lines and you can't do that with a player that only plays 2-3 min a game.
I think he's just too slow and useless to take a spot on our 4th line, but i'm sure some of you feel we should have a tough guy in the lineup so...
what do you think ?
Could be an interesting addition. The Habs could use some grit for the «real» season. It would be nice to have a tough guy NOT complaining when not playing.

could he even play in Montreal?
i might be wrong ,dunno for sure if he is a Montreal managment type of guy .
After first saying no now I would love to have him on the team. This guy is good for 30 fights a season, he can hit like a train (remember the hit on Khomo?) and he will fight anybody.
I'd pee in my pants if this guy wanted to fight me.
This guy can certainly fight.
But fighter can get old and fight less...
Can this guy play 10-15 minutes per game?
By 10-15 I mean 10 minutes minimum...
No he can't, that would be Carcillo you're talking about. But anyways, it's not like he would play every game, the one's he do just doubleshift Gionta and Camm in the 3rd, problem solved.
What do you mean touchy subject ? I don't see how having members of your immediate family in the hells angels can affect your career in Montréal, just ask José Théo....oh wait...

yes and you know it would be about a week and a half before the media started digging .....imagine the circus it could turn into here...
we can all live our lives the way we want, but seeing Quebec isnt friendly to the one's Cote supports and the proof of that is (near everyone of them is behind Bars in Quebec awaiting trial at the moment) ,i think it might just be asking for unwanted distraction ,i think we already seen this in the past.
Again i like his toughness ,but it doesnt seems like the right fit for the city.

Our key players are alreade overworked from all the injuries plus having BGL and Bergeron on the 4th line all year. I want an enforcer that can play a regular shift and fight anybody.
