Wow. Hard to believe these guys weren't the basis of a package that would return us a top six forward or physical dman.

...and it takes 24 hours to clear right? gee, I wonder what's happening in 24 hours . Thanks btw, I learned something today.

So, like most posters are saying, this is a pre-cursor to a trade, it has to be..

According to capgeek, Lisin's hit is $790,000 and Voros' is $1,000,000, so they would free up just under 2 Mill (1,790,000)...Interesting. (Please correct me if I am wrong.)

Poor Enver. Michelletti or Rosen were raving about Enver Lisin's sense of humor during one game.

I liked what I saw from Lisin. The kid played 6 mins a game for crying out loud. But that doesnt concern me. What concernsme is that we traded Korpedo -- who had a role on the team, for a guy Torts was scared to use.

It Lisin was an original Ranger draft pick, everybody would be a little more upset about him being waived.

I still think he had draft-pick worth in a trade

From the NYR rumor thread....

Voros would be the logical player to be placed on waivers. Rangers have 14 forwards.

LOL third time in two years Sather put Voros on waivers.

Twice he wasn't picked up.

Just keep him in Hartford this time, for crap sake.

You would have to believe that he was offered around the league prior to being put on waivers..

He gets 11 minutes a night. The last 4 games, he got about 9. Before that, he was getting 11 or 12. It's not big minutes, but he's done nothing in his time to make me think he's an NHL player. Tools but no toolbox, IMO.

People would be more pissed if he was a pick from the organization, but that's just because a lot of us overvalue our own guys. It doesn't say anything about Lisin's worth though.

Yup, you don't just waive a player without trying to trade him first.

Lisin would be of no use to a contending team. Maybe a rebuilding team would take him on, but clearly those teams are not trading picks or prospects.

I can't believe Lisin has no value, I mean Korpikoski for Lisin is a dumb deal now. not like Korps is great but jeebus

oh well its not like Lisin was in there plans but man a midround pick ?. Shelley cost a 6 for crying out loud

Yah, I can't stop thinking about Korpikoski either. Just not the kind of player you send away when you're taking a flyer on a project that you're unwilling to commit to.

Could the Rangers gotten more out of Korpikoski's value than 52 games and a waived player?

Geez. Close to another gross mismanagement of an asset. How many times is Sather going to reap what hes sewn? He's constantly moving pieces in and out like a deranged freak.

I'd like to see a list of all the notable players that have been brought in through trade, free agency and waivers and out via trade, waivers and retirement in the span of the last 2 years. Its got to be the most turnover out of any club in the league.
