Bob McKenzie is now reporting that Crosby's Olympic gear is missing. What are the chances of it being returned?

He always get his gear stolen, it's pathetic. In 2005 some idiot Air Canada baggage handler stole his jersey he wore in the World Junior Gold Medal game. Later that year, the jersey from his first NHL game was stolen from his father's luggage. Both times they were recovered but still.

Hopefully he gets all his Olympic gear back soon.

In his spot, no way he could throw up his gloves that high above the netting. Never been to GM Place, but I expect it to be fairly high.
The netting is loose at the bottom to allow pucks to fall through at the bottom when they hit, I guess its plausible to think it could have fallen through.

Whoever the chump is, they can't sell it now on the secondary market. Any real collector who has the money to spend has now seen this story.

Not that I feel any great need to defend airline employees, but it sounds like they went missing before he left Vancouver.

He's going to make necklaces out of the gear.

What happened to the puck? I've never heard anything about where it ended up (apart from in the back of the net). That's just as important as Sid's stick.

Also no talk of any lucky loonies planted anywhere from what I can tell. I expected them to hide them somewhere.

Lol what? The police are investigating where a couple of sweaty gloves may be? Don't they have anything better to do, like preventing actual crimes?

False. It was a different type of glass. I can't remember why they changed it, but I believe they changed it to plexiglass. (I think it was plexiglass at least, maybe they switched from plexiglass)

They mentioned when the glass broke during one of the games though, that the other type of glass was faster to change and that was one of the reasons I think that they changed it.

Anyways, sucks that he lost some of his equipment. Hopefully it is recovered.

There is no 'maybe' about the tens of thousands part. I guarantee you the longer the person waits to sell the glove (if they try to in the first place) the more it will be worth.

It's actually pretty funny that the one item that did really fly into the stands is the only thing that has been recovered, while the glove and stick that stayed on the ice have both gone missing.

Apparently you can trust the Canadian fans in the stands more than you can the arena personnel.
