Oh well, we got REALLY lucky with the Arnott goal. I thought they said someone is hurt but I didn't get to hear.

How the heck can Legwand, Smithson, Ward be our leading line in ice time and have ONE SHOT total! Oh well, they are plus on the ledger...

When I saw Pisani slow to get up, a thought went through my head but I quickly blocked it out. Glad to see he's okay.

Rinne has to want that 3rd goal back. Looked to me as though he thought the three teammates over there wouldn't give Pouillot a clear shot and failed to come out and cut the angle. Simply got burned.

Oilers call a timeout with offensive zone faceoff and JDD pulled for the extra attacker...

Couple chances for the Oilers, but Pekka and the Preds hang on for a 4-3 win!

Grebeshkov honored as First Star of the Game! Wilson gets second star and Brule is named the third star.

Sounded like a great debut for Grebeshkov. Hamhuis and Klein had a good game together as well. Could make for a great balance back on the blueline to go along with the balanced lines up front...

When our second PP unit came out with nearing a minute left at the end and it was Sullivan OReilly and Erat? Is that correct?! I groaned and wondered why the turnover machines were out there when all we needed was control. I wanted Wilson. Sure enough we got deep and shot and all of a sudden a flood of Oilers head up ice on a breakout. Groan...

No harm, no foul I guess.

I agree. Listening on the radio it was hard to tell, but I'm simply not keen on ever passing out towards the slot in that situation. Everything either to the net or along the boards. A pass heading out towards the blueline is ripe to be deflected and you just knew Edmonton would have all four guys take off as they did and try to trap us deep, as they did. Puck possession is the name of the game there...

Yeah, he was great. Very positive. Especially the part of getting Nashville to the playoffs...and the STANLEY CUP.

The bad part was he met Mark Howard.

Final ice time for Colin Wilson:
16 shifts, 13:27 TOI, 1 goal, 3 SOG

All even-strength ice too. With minimal special teams time tonight, the four balanced lines really benefited the Predators and allowed Trotz to roll the lines and keep everyone fresh throughout the night...

Wow, talk about dominating...

Suter and Weber lead the team in ice time and also post a +15 Corsi rating tonight (meaning they were on the ice for 15 more shots for than against 25-10 overall). They didn't appear to have slowed down from the Olympics yet and one has to hope they don't anytime soon either!!!

-Arnott looks like he may be back to the good Arnott, while the SAD line sucked, Arnott was actually hustling and did it from the 2nd period on without getting lazy.

-Weber's goal should be Hornqvist's I think.

- Grebs had a great first game, but he had a few giveaways and looks a bit slower than I thought he would be, I hope he doesnt play like that defensively or else we have another Zidlicky. To his credit he did breakup any play caused by his giveaway.

That is a nice corsi number.

And in the postgame Troz said their timing was a little off because of playing with such a high end team at the Olympics and playing such a quick game. Said it would look like it was their timing being off but in reality it would probably be the other guys. LOL

You beat me to it. Meeting Howard brings nothing but depression, destruction, and a lingering sense of "What the hell was that!?"

Overall, a pretty sloppy\rusty effort that would have likely gotten us beat by a better team. Trotz felt Pekka should have had two of the three goals.

Fortunately, it was Edmonton, so the margin for error was a little greater than normal. Won't work against LA, though.

Pretty sweet that Grebs was able to contribute right away. I wonder if he was already rooming with an Edmonton teammate at the Hilton when he found out he got traded, then had to go get a room by himself or something? Awkward!
