Torres and Corvo are on my wishlist. With Spacek disappearing.

I think Gauthier will try to unload Mara for a pick or prospect ala D'Agostini.

And According to Godin's twitter, he was told that if the habs decide to go for a big fish today it would be Horton.

That all makes sense. Moving D'ago more or less replaces the 2nd we gave up for Moore...

TSNBobMcKenzie The first trade of day has come and gone -- Tim Horton's gave me a coffee instead of steeped tea at drive thru. Had to swap it. Done deal.

I have a gut feeling that theres a Dark Horse player the Habs have their eye on and might make a move for in hours to come. A player no one has rumored or thought about. I don't know who? But I just have that feeling. Wolski maybe? I just feel if theres going to be an impact trade done involving an impact on our immediate roster, it will be someone we never thought of.

LOL

I can just picture McKenzie driving in this morning and the Tim's staff asking him for trade scoops at the Drive Thru

I wouldn't mind the Habs picking up Mueller for something like SK. I'm sure SK would benefit from a change of scenery and Mueller also.

Talent wise I really like Mueller. The only thing that scares me about him is the talk that he might not be interested in playing hockey anymore.

That would really help us, but it's doubtful.

Lots of chatter of out Montreal claiming Habs want Florida's Nathan Horton (he's been a target for months). Not sure MTL has enough cap room

Same here. I mean I find it hard to believe that Gauthier doesn't want the mandatory "stamp" on his new team and make some sort of a splash. Then again he isn't the Brian Burke meglomaniac where he NEEDS to make a trade to get on the news. I wouldn't mind a Horton, Mazaros, Hamuis, Torres, Boyes etc type player if we can dump some salary and not get handcuffed in the off season when we need to resign our RFA's.

I'd love to get Horton. Does anyone know how serious his injury is?

It's a slow day. I slept at 4 and woke up at 7:30 for no reason.

It's still early, I think we're a couple of hours away from seeing some trades.

I heard he'll be back in a week or so. Not a major injury.

Makes sense that we want Horton as Martin knows him better then most in his time in Florida and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt considering how well Pouliot has turned out.

I just wonder who's coming out of the top 6 to accomodate his roster spot?

I wouldn't. I think Kosty has much better #'s on that team then Clowe has if they were in reveresed situations imo.

Thanks, I had heard he was out with an injury. I just didn't know how severe the injury was.

My guess is if we were to add Horton it would mean we would lose A.Kostitsyn as part of the deal. So to answer your question, Horton would replace A.Kostitsyn.

Edit: I owe you a beer Koseegin.

I love Horton and I think he can land 70ish points here. Hes fast, strong, aggressive, and has great hands for finishing plays.

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge Andrei fan, He's my favorite player on the habs, but something in my gut tells me he won't be on our team after 3:00pm

I wouldn't mind that

I just have this strange feeling that as usual Gauthier will do a Gainey move and get a player out of no where that wasn't even rumored.
