Once the NHL approves a trade, most likely and importantly due to salary cap provisions, there is ample time for a player to switch teams since the deadline is 3:00 PM. Though the rules are different now than at the time, there is precedence in that regard: the Flyers acquired Moose Dupont the day they played the Blues, his ex-team, and he got a point on the first goal.

We seem to have trouble with the Panthers for whatever reason.

Just stick to the system and win please. Richards, keep playing with that confidence and swagger please.

We gave up a lot of shot last night, was our D lacking? I read in the GDT that Parent and Giroux had some bad turnovers, and it looked like Krajcek took a bad gamble on the second Tampa goal

We were pretty iffy or rusty for the opening period and there were a few bad turnovers. Nothing to worry about I think.

I'll meet your surprising stat and counter with Leighton's Philly numbers
13-3-1 2.18 GAA .926 sv%

and with combined Carolina?Philly numbers, he's 26 and 27 in the league with his GAA and SV%. Lets see if he can crack top 20 by seasons end

I don't consider that surprising honestly. What's surprising to me is that Ottaw's differential is probably negative right now and yet they're challenging for division lead and 3rd place.

As it is right now the Panthers are minus Seidenberg (assuming he can't play) and Leopold. If we can't beat them then I'll be pissed.

Also, last night's win means we swept Tampa this year. I know we've swept Tampa and Carolina so far, anyone else though? I think we still have a shot at NYI IIRC.

FWIW, pretty sure Keaton Ellerby will be promoted for the game as a replacement on D.

EDIT: Confirmed.

Flyers offense + Panthers D - Seidenberg = Vokoun needing to make 50 saves for a win.

Glad to see Booth is playing. I figure the Panthers will have a close eye on Richards tonight.

one of two games i've gotten to attend this year was december's "holiday game"...**** everything about that night, except for my brother and i (through expert scouting from the nosebleeds) moving down to 4 rows behind the flyer bench after the 1st

They'll probably boo him each time he's on the ice. When he nets a hat trick they'll boo more.
