According to 2-3 sources on Twitter, Roman Hamrlik has been asked to Waive his NTC.
Are any of them semi-legit? No offense to Hamr but dumping his contract would make my trade deadline!
Horton has been a target of mine all season long. I have a hard time believing Florida would part with him after his strong run before his injury...if we could get him for AK i do that deal in a heartbeat.
I would also deal SK if we could get a grittier 3rd line player...someone like a Raffi Torres, but i wouldn't deal SK for a UFA to be.
Apparently Bergenheim is available according to McKenzie. I know he's not an impact player or whatever, but he's decent, good hustle. If we get rid of say Metro or Lapierre, he would be a guy with decent jam and speed to bring in for out bottom 6.

McGuire's a fair weather idiot. During the free agency frenzy, he was bowing to Burke for acquiring Komisarek and Exelby. During TSN's preview show, he went crazy saying the Leafs are back and ready to make some noise. That loudmouthed drama queen spews out of both sides of his mouth depending on which way the wind is blowing. I have no respect for him....he has a major case of short-man syndrome!

He did at least admit to that when Mac T called him on it today. He said he over valued them after the pre season and was wrong. He did the same after blasting the Habs for drafting Price then said he was wrong and Price was a good pick.
Not everyone is perfect and to do it in front of millions of viewers you'd need stones to do it. At least he's entertaining (except when drooling over the Leafs) so I do have respect for the guy for at least having an opinion and not riding the fence.
