Wow that is insane! I played with him for the first 7 years of hockey. Won state championships and went to Regionals. He has been putting up these numbers in the WHL, but he is an 89. Low risk, high reward signing.
I like these signings and all, but nobody is going to trade for either of these guys when they were available for free yesterday.
Does the timing of all this seem odd to anyone else? Shouldn't Holmgren be focused on some other things?
If you're signing guys that you like, and therefore building a bit more depth in the system...makes it a bit easier to move some other guys going forward.
