The thing that seperates this league from traditional fantasy leagues is that simulations are done using software from batesoft (www.fhlsim.com) Entire seasons using SEL teams and players can be done. Anyways if anyone has any interest drop me a line. I have already been in contact with a couple of people and spots are filling up fast so contact me asap

You guys have been a huge help with this league and now the doors are opening. The site still has some moderate work left but I expect that by next friday it should be complete. The forum will be completed sometime in February which will leave enough time to rate all players after the final game in early March and start the first SFEL season on March 8th, 2005. We already have 5 people including some of the HF regulars (Vikke, Mr. Zzzz, Dan) so lets get more people in! Free, interactive league that will not take much time away from your life. What could be better?

Only 40 days until the puck drops for the SFEL and positions are filling up fast. Timra, Mora and Malmo have been filled leaving only:

Brynas (team with a tonne of history)
Farjestad (solid all around team)
HV 71 (defending champs)
Linkoping (featuring the projected best player in the league (huselius)
Sodertalje (featuring Swedish phenom Bergfors)

Since you've written "Jämtland", "Småland" and so for the others... Uppland would be the one for me.

You control the lines, trades, contracts and the league is continuous so after one season transpires another one comes. we will be playing 2 seasons to every 1 SEL season. (Designated with 2005 (a) and 2005 (b))

basically its like a league where you pick players except instead of just keeping track of their stats and tallying a score you run them through simulations. It is a lot of fun and takes half the time of a traditional fantasy league (except re-rating and setting up the page (which I do))

Does it take long time to make up lines and so, and how often must it be updated?

Robertsson,

Two sims are done per week. For each sim you download files, arange lines and send the file back. The total process takes 10 minutes maximum. The other activity component from the GMs is writing a 500 word make believe article on the teams performace, rumours etc. which is done once a week and send to the same email address. All of these articles will be put in newspaper format just for increased league activity. Finally there is the time taken to respond to trade offers and make your own.


Everything else is done by the commish (me) and one/two other GMs who volunteer their time.

Honestly I would say that you could spend as little as 1 hour per week on this league and still scrape by (sending in lines, writing a decent article and responding to trade offers). If you have any other questions dont be afraid to give me a shout on my email.
