Good point. It's entirely possible that we move some bodies at the draft for picks.

Backup Goalie next year for Lu while they try to shop him?

I guess it depends upon what your definition of "significant" is (to paraphrase Bill Clinton).

Sounds more like they might've fit a deal in place for this summer, or they offers at least from teams interested in the off-season, but perhaps I'm just too optimistic.

If no one's calling with a price Gillis is interested in then definitely, that seems like a viable option.

I'm flying on painkillers in bed with TSN streaming on my laptop. I enter this drug induced dream where we trade Steve Bernier for Cary Price and Kris Letang. I wake up out of my daze all giddy. And then I start analyzing the trade. And I realize... Letang and Price are not teammates. Ha... That was pretty awesome.

As an aside, James Duthie and Dave Hodge sound suicidal discussing this deadline. I think they still have a couple more hours of live television to break down a bunch of non-factor trades.

Schneider is someone you realistically move at the draft when teams are making big changes. If he stays in Vancouver next season, you have to be committed to giving him 20 starts to showcase himself.

Shop Lu right?

I don't really get why the Canucks would be in a hurry to move Cory to be honest. You need someone who can step in if there is an injury and the Canucks are very thin at the goaltendng position aside from Luongo. No need to trade him unless it's a deal you can't refuse.

You can dress up (or put lipstick on) a pig... but it is still a pig.

Wellwood dodges yet another bullet.

He is amazing - maybe his nickname should be Houdini.

Is Tamby made that deal with the Canucks, people would think he was still on their payroll.
