Just looked over Andrew Gross' twitter. DZ will play.
And Gabs didn't skate today according to Zipay.

With Drury and Cally on the top 2 lines, I feel we can contain Sid and Geno. The key will be to stopping Jordan's line,.. they have been playing very well together. Matt Cooke especially.

Pittsburgh is one of those teams you dont attack, you defend. Id like Staal-Girardi and Redden-Rozsival against the Crosby and Malkin lines, but Tortorella refuses to play MDZ and Gilroy together.

I think it is too, but 63 games into the season, theyre both big boys, I think they can handle duties against 3rd and 4th lines.

It's probably because he's cautious about throwing two rookie defensemen out together. haha I wouldn't do it either if I was playing the Pens... No way.

imho our 2 best defenseman are Rozsival and Staal...are you trying to get each on a different pairing to play against those 2 big guns?

Thats the idea. Plus Girardi and Redden I think are better complementary "shutdown" players than Gilroy and MDZ.
Redden may be overpaid and disabled offensively but at least he is 2nd pairing level in his own zone.

No he won't.

Winger Alex Ponikarovsky, obtained by the Penguins late Tuesday night in a trade with Toronto, will not be able to join his new team until at least Friday because of an immigration holdup.

Or Marc Staal for that matter.
Staal was a beast on Crosby last season, but he hasen't played him that physical so far this year.

Well, at least it isn't on VS or we'd be forced to endure Doc and Beninatti moistening up every time Cyndi was on camera.

That's if he stays in front of the net and let's his teammates do the other work. As long as he doesn't have to skate he'll be fine.
Just joking... Kinda true, though. haha

Forget this question. Watching the Caps - Sabres game, looks like they're just gonna pick up either our feed or Pitt's feed and broadcast that.
