Since the Grebeshekov trade, 8 goals for, 5 against, we have played Edmonton and LA. Lets see if we can score another four goals .

As we suspected, Ellis will be in the nets tonight for the Preds and Boyd's immigration paperwork has been cleared and he is expected to arrive this afternoon in Detroit and be in the lineup barring anything unforeseen...

I have to babysit tonight and I was trying to think how I could listen to the game whilst sitting the kids. They would either talk over the radio or complain to listen/watch something else, and my iPod doesn't have a radio in it. Then I found my old school portable CD player in the closet and it has a radio on it! I'm totally going to take that to listen to while I watch the kiddies tonight.

And she actually used the word "whilst" in normal conversation! No one does that anymore. I used the word "hark" in a sentence once and all I got were strange looks. "Hark! The ice cream truck approaches!"

Well, I guess it was too much around a bunch of 6 year olds...

I thought that was a one night only type of deal. The Center Ice preview is still available through Sunday if it is supported by your cable provider.

Head Coach Barry Trotz – Nashville’s head coach since Day 1 – won his 399th game behind the Predators bench last night. His next win will make him just the seventh coach in NHL history to win 400 games with one team.

Hahah thanks Seth! And I didn't even realize I used "whilst" because I say it often. High five for using antiquated words!

In other news, the Preds' Twitter just tweeted this:

Quote:
Congrats to 2009 1st rounder Ryan Ellis, named OHL Defenseman of the Month for February today. He'll be @ tonight's game in Detroit as well.
Does that mean he's playing?? Or just on the bench, in the audience, what?

He'll be at the arena as a guest of the Predators, but he will not be playing. Ellis plays in Windsor, Onatrio which is just across the river from Detroit...

Finally he can attack fans of other teams who mock him from the once safe refuge of the internet.

The image of a Red Wings fan laughing at his screen only to have a fist come out for a quick punch made me snicker for about 5 minutes. It was worth sharing.

I'm worried about Ellis being rusty, and Detroit putting a lot of shots on net. Hopefully Dan will get some he can see early and get in the flow. One stop so far.

Go Preds!

2 games in a row KK gets his pocket picked right in front of the net and we go down 1-0.

I heard that Poile tried to trade Klein at the deadline, but the first rounder that other teams were demanding to take him off our hands was viewed as too steep.

O'Reilly doesn't do enough for us yet to be able to take dumb penalties. That's his second since the break I think.

The offense wasn't terrible that period but the defense got outworked and manhandled. Klein better check and make sure he still has his wallet. Datsuyk cleaned that pocket out.

Are you watching the game?

One it was a person 10 feet from our net going to shoot. And two even the Wings announcers said it was a bad call.

We need to break up the lines. Cal, Tootoo and Wilson are getting their ***** handed to them. And unless it's a crazy bounce from behind the goal line SAD cannot score.

Just got back from picking up my sister from her field trip and going out to dinner. Looks like the Predators missed the first period, just like me...

Haven't seen a replay, but I wrote about Klein over on OTF yesterday. He is in my doghouse. He doesn't communicate out on the ice, but more than anything that is due to the fact that he doesn't read the play quick enough to do so...

Second goal, Holmstrom in front on the PP...not a surprise...I think they'll rename the slot area "Holmstrom's office" like they did with TGO and the back of the net when he is retired...

The Wings want it more..............and they are hitting, forechecking, etc........pressing all over the ice.............unless we can ramp up the intensity everywhere......we are toast.
