Maxwell Re-Assigned to Hamilton

http://www.ckac.com/hockey/nouvelles...t-2011701.html

WTF does this team have against toughness? We couldn't have called up White instead?

Probably means Lapierre got suspended.

Maybe...but you could still have Moore and Metropolit center the bottom 2 lines?

Maxwell hasn't shown me anything at the NHL level. White at least hits everything in sight and isn't a liability.

Out of White, Trotter,Desharnais and Maxwell I think Maxwell looked by far the weakest at the NHL level so far. Don't really understand why he is back up, especially if he is to replace Lapierre

Maxwell hasn't shown much at all in the NHL. Kinda surprised he's the only first on the recall.

Did White make fun of Martin's big ears or what man?

This is the 4th or 5th time we have called him up. Seems like if he does not get it together he will be traded. White, Trotter and Desharnais all looked better than him.

I like Maxwell's speed. He's a much better 2-way player than I thought he was. That speed means he's never takes himself out of the play.

I think this is a Timmins calling card. A lot of these guys can close on the puck in no time (Maxwell, Wyman, even White who isn't as fast... and Pyatt who was acquired and not home grown). It's interesting support around the skill guys. I wish more of them played a physical game but I find this an underrated skill.

You clearly don't value defensive awareness and positioning. While the other three were more 'noticeable' during their time in the NHL, Maxwell is the most reliable defensively, and the habs won't be looking for offense from him.

This guy has played 15 games in the NHL and has yet to record a point. I'd rather have a guy like Trotter or White. Maxwell has been completely unimpressive.

Yep, he reminds me of pleks that way. He will most likely be the type to rise the way plekanecs has. Will start in a defensive role and move his way up.

What the hell...

Why not White? This guy should be a regular in our lineup, IMO. Probably has the most heart on this entire team right now, behind only Gionta.

He's a center and has had to play wing in the NHL, I don't get why they call up guys and put them in situations where it is hard for them to succeed. (Ex. Desharnais on the fourth line)

Did you know he once was captain of the Kelowna Rockets?
