Canadian Olympic goalies having a tough time?

What's going on with our top goalies? Before the break they were having a tough time. Last night Luongo gets pulled and Brodeur lets 5 straight goals go in. Fleury had a bad night the day before.

Luongo wasnt very good at the olympics either. He definetly wasnt the reason why Canada won gold.

Luongo wasn't bad, he did all you could ask of him - allow his team the chance to win which they did so...

Yeah, 5-0, 1.76gaa, 0.927sv%, a shutout, never trailed at any point.. Just awful.

Some people you could give a $100 bill and they would complain it's folded all wrong.

He let in alot of softies, I was unimpressed with how he played for the most part, and I'm a canuck fan. That team would have won with Chris Osgood in net

While true, you just pissed off every Canucks fan on HF, and that's not a good thing, because you'll never hear the end of it.

One softie against Slovakia = a lot of softies?

Team Canada lost with Martin Brodeur in net so there goes your theory about winning with anyone in net.

He's played two games since the Olympics. One he was good and one he was bad. Hardly a large sample size of games to choose from here.

Awww, boo-hoo. The Canuck fans can get over it. Luongo was very average in the olympics.
Im not sure he knows how to catch the puck, which makes him very vulnerable to a quick goal off of a rebound.
Didnt the Wild score like 5 goals on him last week???

Luongo can't hear your guys, four gold medals cover his ears (or something like that).

If he was average and won gold, how bad does that make the americans look if they cant score on an average goalie? Pretty sh*tty I guess.....

For what its worth, since that huge save against the Stars yesterday Fleury has played phenomenal...up until that save though he was rustier than...something with a lot of rust on it. The fact he wasn't getting practice time in with Team Canada was very evident when he came back.

You guys are just brutal. 1 game and all of a sudden they're having a tough time. It's like people on this board all have short term memory.

how people forget that an average Luongo won us gold and Brodeur was on the bench cheering his bud on.

Team Canada didn't need good goaltending at all...did you see how they dominated the US when they had that bum Brodeur between the pipes...what was the score in that game again?

Canuck fans are being baited and trolled.

I can't get the smug look of brodeur when he got the gold out of my head.

that 'bum' has 3 stanley cups, and 4 vezina trophy's and is regarded by most as the greatest goalie in NHL history. Can LUUUUUUU make those claims?

Yeah, I agree that Gretzky should have been named to the team as well.

That bum also almost cost us gold. Quit living in the past and get real, hes not going to be great forever.
