Okay, listen - I'm not here saying sell, sell, sell in the middle of the second period, but when the game plays out in exactly, I mean EXACTLY, the way we who were on the sale bandwagon feared... c'mon, what do you expect?
To shut up and keep it out of the GDT. Is that so much to ask?

Gonna try play devils advocate hear and say both Jonathan and BrooklynRangersFan have a point here.
If the "sale" guys do as the other wish and make seperate threads to talk about the reasons why the GM should have went into sale mode then all you would hear from the opposing side would be "not another thread about selling, you guys arent real Rangers fans".
But
I do think it should be in a seperate thread outside the game day thread so in part do agree with Jonathan on this, things are tough right now so everyone is at each others throats and to be honest there is no end in sight so the arguing looks like it will continue for a while yet.
There were quite a few posters here who believed that the Rangers would be a 500% team and would be scratching their way, probably to the last week of the season to make it.
Looks like those posters are dead on right now.
A 9th place finish though is about as ugly as you can get going forward though.
Tanking, selling, trades, etc all deserve to be discussed, just not in a GDT.
Those discussion already have a home anyways.
What i am trying to say is because everybody is in disagreement and things are quite heated no matter what happens people are still going be at each others throats.
I just dont think my first post came out how it was meant to sound.
I'm against selling 100%. Yet you don't see me in every GDT posting, "Stay the course!" every other post.
I would love for that to happen. But only if you do it during the really bad games.
At this stage, we all know the team isnt going anywhere and we know the organization are rather stupid.
So I guess we should all just enjoy the fact that we play 82 games and 82 games of something is better than nothing.
Stole my post pretty much word for word. My heart sank to my stomach when Avery rang that puck off the post in the third period.
Man, Avery was a man alive. I sat front row, right at the end of the Rangers bench, so I couldn't see alot of the offense in the third, but every time Avery came to the bench, he was stone faced, just angry at himself, just so focused...
That chance in Overtime, I thought we had it for sure...
For a goalless game until 5 minutes left, the third period on was one of the most emotional, heart-wrenching atmosphere. My gf was with me and it was her first hockey game and she was like holy **** I see why you obsess over this **** haha
I liked the 4th line tonight. Plain and simple, we should have won the game. That 2 on 1 was the game and we couldn't bury it. Gaborik evidently is not 100 % but he looked better as the game went on. Olli has great poise and speed through the neutral zone but i would like to see him shoot more. I liked the play of Danny tonight, made some nice plays. Overall they played a sound defensive game.
Sorry, boys and girls, we who said sell will NOT stay away. This team was never going ANYWHERE in the POs. However, by not selling, we guarantee that they do things like we've seen in the games since the Olympics... just enough to finish in **** draft position and yet not make the postseason. GIVE IT UP. You were wrong. The team should have sold.
OTLs... Unbelievable. 13th pick here we come.
There's not much on this team to sell that I don't want back next year other than Roszival, Jokinen, Voros, Girardi, and Lisin. What were you hoping to sell them for? Some new pucks?
Drury and Redden won't be moved via trade. Prospal could've gotten a decent return I'm sure, but I'd much rather keep him happy so he'll re-sign for cheap.
Gilroy could've probably gotten a decent return too, but I'd rather wait it out and see how he is next year.
In fact, the only player I don't understand how we didn't trade away was Girardi. He's due for a big payday we shouldn't be giving him and he's probably coveted by some teams.
Forgive me if this has been covered, I did not read the thread. I was wondering if anyone has noticed that the team scored goals when Gaborik was out of the line up.
The line of Jokinen Drury & Dubinsky was really clicking. 3 centers on 1 line isn't somthing u see often.
Maybe Torts should keep them together & put Prospal centering Cally & Dubi. After Watching both games since Gabs return it doesn't seem like we are clicking at all.
