Still pissed these jokers didn't sell last week. Certainly could have added a couple second round picks which could have been used to move up into the top 5 to land an impact player. At least at this rate we'll be pretty close to that spot anyway.
They don't deserve a damn thing. Not the playoffs, not a lottery pick. Just pure mediocrity. And I'm ashamed of myself that I got excited when they tied the game.
I now see no positive outcome to this season at all.
At least before when we were looking at 12-13th place I could feel hopeful about the upcoming draft.
But they're going to finish 9th or 10th and everyone knows it.
Knowing the Rangers, probably 9th, 1 point out of it.
No youth/picks gained at the deadline, no playoffs, and no shot at a top draft pick. They won't even pick in the top 10 this year.
Sorry to be so curt here, but the timing of these threads is pathetic.
The same goes for the optimism around here when the team wins a game. Both are just examples of fans expressing their feelings immediately after a game.

Let me guess, you're one of those eternal optimists who thinks we'll make the playoffs and upset the Pens or Caps in the first round, right? That's fine. Me, I was expecting no playoffs this year, so I'm not upset that we are just about meeting my expectations.
Gaborik could only keep up what he was doing for so long. When we signed him, people we're saying "he can make his own chances!" and while thats true....you don't want him doing that over a whole frickin season. He needs help.

Disgusting in every aspect.
the only upside to finishign 9th or 10th is that with the West being so much better than the east, we are still assured of a very solid pick. Right now, with 66 points, we have the 8th overall selection.
A few more gems like the last three and 5th/6th is very much in sight.
I did'nt see the game but jeebus 2 min away from another shutout...........ugh.............sadly a pt would of threw them into 8th no?.............I hope they make it but don't expect much more than a 1st round loss.

I completely agree with that, and it seems you're the only one who understood I was talking about the timing being ridiculous not the sentiment.
It's fine if you don't like some of the moves of the organization but this constant knee-jerk complaining after every loss is bothersome to put it nicely.
And fewer people react positively when we win. Usually things are just quieter.

Not all is lost.
I didn't think we were still in the bottom 10 but you're right, if the season ended today we would pick 8th which is pretty good.
That's what I'm hoping for now, that Western teams like Anaheim (67), Minnesota (67) and Dallas (68) stay ahead in the standings.
So if everything stays about the same, even 9th in the East may land us a top 10 pick.
I don't mind Avery. He gives this team a pulse and personality, and since the team's not going anywhere, he makes the games a little more entertaining for me.
I do question his ability to not cost this team dearly with a dumb penalty come playoff time.
I just want El Nino or Kabanov and I'm happy LOL. I'll take 2 months of rooting for the Sharks (yeah insert joke about their playoff runs) if they don't qualify and one of those guys puts on the Rangers sweater.
Zucker from Team USA or even Brock Beuk would be cool in round 2 if he's still around.
If they get the 8th seed, I want Etem from Medicine Hat.
Yeah, Avery is the reason this team couldn't get wet in a thunderstorm.Please.
He's lucky if he sees 12 minutes of ice a night but of course certain posters feel that is too much and he should be taken out and put down like a rabid animal.
