Not that line numbering really means anything... but I like how RDS had the Maxwell - Metropolit - Darche line ahead of Moen - Moore - S. Kostitsyn. As shown in the GDT post. Heh.

Sucks for Tanguay. He got hot for a short while this year, but his NHL career has gone wildly off track. He played pretty well when healthy for us last season. Maybe he'll be someone's reclamation project next year.

According to F. Gagnon from cyberpresse.ca, our 2nd and 5th best scorers (Cammalleri... and Bergeron!) are back on skates; it was the second time for Cammalleri and fifth time for Bergeron... they are getting closer!

Halak: in

No change to the lines and pairings

Source (in French but I already provided the key points): http://www.cyberpresse.ca/sports/hoc...t-le-filet.php

I hope for a better input by the Kostitysn brothers; Andrei is slowly but surely re-gaining his game shape, finding his marks.

Go Habs!

Malone is out with upper body injury, so Tanguay will probably be on the VL/Purcell line

So what happens when Lapierre, Bergeron, and Cammalleri get back?

Mara's already sitting, and Maxwell will probably be sent down when Lapierre comes back, but then what?

For Cammy, it looks like Pyatt will have to go back down - him or Sergei.
For MAB...ideally Spacek, but that won't happen

Probably Maxwell, Pyatt and Darche. I would imagine JM put's Bergeron on the 4th again.

I don't want to see the bottom six dismantled for Bergeron.
The bottom six is a big reason why Montreal has had some success lately.

Cammalleri = Maxwell to the AHL
Lapierre in = Pyatt to the AHL

You can't remove O'Byrne's physical presence he's the only one willing to protect others that has any size.

Bergeron just can't replace anyone in the bottom six.
Unless one of the top 6 on D fall he and Mara should sit.

Lapierre replaces Maxwell and Cammy replaces Pyatt....I agree that I would rather sit Bergeron than anyone on the 4th, but our PP desperately needs a shot from the point

Hopefully we put up a good game against the TBL, which we usually don't. When was the last time we won in regulation against them?

Actually the only guy i would replace with Bergeron on defence would be Spacek, lol. That's how useless Spacek has been lately. Of course Martin would never do that, and since that's the case, please do not re-insert Bergeron in the place of one of our 4th liners (Darche or Pyatt). It would be an epic mistake. These guys have given new life into our bottom lines and because of them, we actually stand a chance to a win a playoff series.

So you wanna replace a defencemen that has a +10 rating (Spacek), with one that has a -11 rating? Ooook.. Maybe they should try playing Spacek on his proper side first.

I was just about to ask the very same question, with Malone and St. Louis out, Tampa's offensive guns go down a lot...

Saint-Louis seems to be "probable" (almost sure to play tonight’s game but not confirmed yet):

"... Lightning veteran Martin St. Louis has five goals and six assists in his last nine games against Montreal. He had a goal and two assists against the Thrashers before leaving with 7:46 left after being checked into the boards. St. Louis, though, isn't expected to miss any time.

'I think he's going to be OK," Tocchet said. "It was a scary moment there.'
..."

If I was part of the TB organization, I would definitely play it safe and keep him on the sideline!

+/- whatever. He's looked awful in his own zone--he's painfully slow and has the most trouble of all the D's at getting the puck up the ice lately. Just calling it like i see it. As far as playing him on his right side, i can't believe they haven't tried that yet.
