Thats what bugs me about Laps, is that he has the potential to be the great role player that he is. He proved it last season. Im starting to think that because he doesn't play with Lats anymore, that he really doesnt wanna play here. Maybe he should go play with his buddy IF that is the case, im pure speculating there.

...And as i mentioned in another thread, im all for him being a yapper and in instigator.. but he must drop the gloves sometimes. I understand he doesn't know how to fight, he can always learn.

I hope the Habs go 4-0 with Laps out...

maybe then he will come back and play more desperately.

Personally, I hate Tampa Bay because of VL and MSL and how they save their best for the Habs

The bottom six is a big reason why Montreal has had some success lately.

Cammalleri = Maxwell to the AHL
Lapierre in = Pyatt to the AHL

You can't remove O'Byrne's physical presence he's the only one willing to protect others that has any size.

Bergeron just can't replace anyone in the bottom six.
Unless one of the top 6 on D fall he and Mara should sit.
I thought that MAB brought a lot of offensive zip to the fourth line when he played there. And certainly nothing that Pyatt, Darche or Lapierre bring compares to what MAB adds to the PP!

A win would give us a 7 pts lead against the Bolts, this is a must win game.

90% of the games this time of the year are "must wins". Especially when we're so far ahead in Games Played

Drooling over Taylor Lautner is always a good way to pass time before the games?????

This Lapierre bashing is getting old.

The guy is second in hits on the team with 134, closest after that is in the 80s. He has a higher faceoff percentage than Pleks. He's a decent size body who has good speed and finishes his checks and plays with an edge. He's annoying to play against. And yes he shoots a lot. That's what you tell 3rd and 4th line guys in hockey and JM repeats it to them over and over. Never mind the pretty plays, just shoot the puck each time you get. Basic, basic hockey. People need to think for themselves instead of repeating things "experts" (who don't watch the Habs) say like sheep. You may or may not like Lapierre's role but to say he's useless could not be further from the truth when you break it down.

Anyway, having said that I'm worried about tonight. We don't play well against teams that are below us in the standings. We seem to lose all our speed and end up playing this defensive shell game instead of a run and gun game that we are better at. Having said that, it's at home and I'm sure the boys will come out fires blazin' tonight.

Of course all games are must win now, what i meant is that its even more important to win against our direct playoff competitor. A win against the Bolts, Rangers or Bruins are much more important than a win against the Leafs or Islanders.
