Andrew Gross On Blueshirt Banter Radio Tonight at 8 PM

Andrew Gross of the New Jersey Record will be joining me and Jim Schmiedeberg on the Radio tonight.

I am going to ask him about the tensions between the beat reporters and torts as well his overall feeling where this team is emotionally down the stretch.

Any questions you think i should I ask ?, any help would be appreciated.

All the details to listen to the show tonight are here

Haven't been able to catch the last couple "radio shows" due to being pretty busy. I'll be listening to this one though, seems like it will be pretty interesting.

Ask him what chance he thinks the Rangers have of making the playoffs.

Id imagine if any coach yelled at some Wall Street pinhead the way they would at Redden He'd be in for it as well.

Torts does work in the corporate world..doesnt get more corporate than MSG.

Please ask him:

if the players and mngt are pissed at gaby for playing in the bronze medal game.

Why is Redden still here and not in Hartford?

Potential draft picks.

What Rangers prospect will make the team next year.

Was there any lasting resentment from the players towards Girardi after the Gaby incident.

Heikkinen is long gone next year he's already hinted at that in some interviews, KHL. Grachev should be on the top of that list we desperately need a big body forward with some actual talent.

Grachev may need another year to develop. Now that he's got a taste, he's got a big HW assignment to do in the offseason. Hopefully he trains with Yaroslavl and Artem can give him some pointers being two years his senior.

Next year it would be great to see Dale Weisse crack the lineup. He's progressed nicely, WANTS to be up and will do anything to make an impact.

Would be a nice to see Sangs get a shot at this is his second full year in the AHL and a surprise in Kundratek or McD.

Synopsis

Gross think the Rangers will make the playoffs

MDZ and Gilroy were absolutely gassed by the Olympic break Gilroy more so. Gilroy told him mentally the 82 NHL game schedule has been taxing on him. he however said now he is refreshed same for MDZ.

He did say players tend to tune torts out as far as the yelling goes, especially when they are not winning to help them buy into his coaching philosophy and style.

He also said that Torts once he has an opinion of you, there is no changing it. I guess Larry Brooks better watch out at the bus stop.

He thought the alice in chains concert at terminal 5 were fantastic.

He thinks Brian Boyle has really improved (that I didn't expect)

Prospal and Staal seem to be real leaders in the room or at least the most opinionated that the Rangers will make the playoffs. he said especially Staal who usually doesn't talk much is determined they make it.

i always hear this

but wasn't Torts very outspoken about sean avery before he coached him?

but It has never appeared that he's held any sort of grudge against avery since he's been here

He also gives players tons of chances to redeem themselves after he gives them crap. I like and respect Gross, but without actual evidence this assertion seems dubious at best.

In fact, there is evidence to support otherwise. Christensen was as good as gone according to Torts, and yet here we are a few months later and he's centering Gaborik.

Anyway, I don't see anything even remotely close to "huge huge news," "PR nightmare," or anything requiring any lawsuits. The worst thing listed is Gross speculating about people tuning Torts out sometimes. The way Dagoon prefaced it you would have thought that the baby Girardi's wife gave birth to resulted from an affair with Torts or something.

Well that's weird, I never in my life could have believed that Dagoon would exaggerate something

Chill out big man...no need to wag your dick around and show it off to everyone.

We all know you have broken some big trades and respect the fact that you have connections and stuff but you do exaggerate quite a bit you have to admit that. For instance your hate of Hank.

I don't hate him at all you guys have made that way more then me. Hank is overrated and Rangers fans love him more then God because there is nothing better to root for. I don't wag anything. People like browneye need to make nonstop comments and take shots. I am a man not a keyboard tough guy that hides behind a screen. The fact I brake stuff is silly and means crap to me and most on here. I do it for the true fans not ****** like BRB and browneye poker.

Once again, Dagoon displays his modesty and professionalism

And your lack of grammar beyond that of a 13 year old doesn't help your case, either.

And you failed to address the point. What is this "huge huge news" that should result in lawsuits? Because whatever it is, Mouth sure as hell didn't say it.
