Hey, I'm not the fanboy here. Admit it when he lets in a softie. Yes I believe in Price but that doesn't mean I hate Halak. It was just a ******, soft goal scored against.

On brighter news:

Jacques Martins has his faults but he is also very experienced and we are slowly, very slowly, reaping the benefits of the Martin-Gauthier philosophy.

Remember, we weren't supposed to make it this year anyway with all the new faces.

Why isn't anybody mentioning that bad goal against Halak in the last minute? It was ultimately not dangerous but it was as soft as softies get.
because like you said, it was not dangerous. Who ****ing cares at that point.

During the olympic break, I looked at our schedule, who would return, which teams were our competition and with the assumption Halak would start most games I just could not imagine the Habs not get into the post-season. I mean, they'll get absolutely demolished by the top teams unless they get incredible goaltending, but they'll make it barring injuries.

Also, who still thinks Saku is better than Gomez? Or have some people learned the game is more than just an average of career stats .

Cammalleri will take Pyatt's spot.
M-A Bergeron will take Maxwell spot.

Where is Lapierre's spot?

I'd like to see Darche in Pyatt's spot until Cammalleri comes back... we could use some more grit on that line and Darche has been playing great.

Awesome game by the whole team, Gomez's line has been absolutely phenomenal lately.

Hopefully Boston and Philly lose 1, or 2 of those games in hand. The other teams, even if they win all their games in hand will still be behind use luckily.

Tribute to Darche.

I think this is the highest we've been over .500 all season. We're now either 19-9-3 or 18-10-3 with Markov in the lineup.

Lapierre would directly replace Maxwell. Cammy with Pyatt (I guess...)

Darche would be relegated to healthy scratch I suppose with the return of Mara/MAB

They play each other on Thursday.

Then Boston plays us on Saturday, while Philly plays Hawks on Saturday and NYR on Sunday. So next 2 games are HUGE for us (I know, they all are at this point)

So do you hate all teams that have no tradition? Or teams that get a first or second overall? Or some combo of both..

I thought Halak played a great game. Made some very timely saves early on to keep the momentum going, and made a bunch of huge saves in the third to keep the Lightining from getting any momentum. I think this game was a nice illustration of the save/momentum dynamic. It's not always about overall sv %.

Loved Darche, Gomez, Pouliot, Gionta, heck the whole team played great. Metro looked blazing fast. Great way to start our homestand.

I think Lapierre and SK would be scratched before Darche if he puts the same effort on the 4th line every night.

Huh ? He will ? I think MAB will wait until there is an injury on D. Ugh what am i saying, i don't want him on D.
Lappy gets back on saturday, Maxwell is sent down. If MAB is ready to go he might get 4th line duty, but c'mon Pyatt has been doing a fantastic job. Darche well there is NO way JM takes him out of the lineup at the moment.

I still believe that JM will scratch a forward to get MAB on the PP, but I may be wrong.

As of right now, Darche brings more than Mara or MAB IMO, but we will see. Maxwell and Pyatt are the easy ones out.

Sergei should stay in the lineup.

+1 , save % in the 1rst period again shows halak has been great ... you don't even have to argue with halak haters at this point ... its just sad some people can still witness a player having a great season and turn their head the other way ...

3rd and 4th liners chippin in means we are beginning to be solid. and honestly... I'd rather peak right now and make the playoffs on a high ... rather than start from 4th place comes christmas time, play crappy and end up in 8th place come playoff time.
