And for that I hope they finish 9th for a change. They're always either in the playoffs or picking top 5. Wish we could get that going but it's a different expectation level and environment up in Habland.

Yeah in Edmonton though, a place where we've got 1 win since 2000 and it was the Heritage Classic (this includes a game where we blew a 6-3 lead and lost in regulation, one where we had our infamous team bonding bowling game and got *****, etc.). We've beaten Edmonton in three straight at home though, including last year in OT (Sakuuuuuuu).

Thank Burke for not taking Gomez and Gionta to the Olympics. They look very sharp right now!

No to mention the USA might not have lost the gold medal game.

I used to not care if we were on track to make the playoffs, even not minding if we lost if it brought us closer to a great draft pick. Now I want the playoffs, bad.

Does anyone else think if we get momentum and some things fall into place at the right times we can make a nice little run?

Haha, it's great to see the Gomez-Hedman feud they started couple months ago continued so vividly tonight.

I agree.

And as for Spacek and Hamrlik, I think they'd be dead men walking right about now if they'd gone to Vancouver...

Argue all you want, but we all know how most of the anti-Price fans would've been ALL OVER HIM for that goal. "I don't care if it was 5-2 at that point, it was a bad goal and because of it they could've tied the game." I personally could give a **** and am with you when you say that the game was over at that point. Halak played well enough to get us a win tonight, and that's all that matters. I would NEVER be criticizing him for letting in a goal like that late in the period. It matters for **** ALL. So why do so many here still have the urge to do it for Price?

Some of you are so pathetic, it's amazing. This place of full of... well I'll stop there before I get another retarded infraction for posting a senseful argument.
I agree with you ... but I think its more the inconsistency than the ''bad goals'' as far as my assessment of price is concerned. He can look out of place in the 1rst period, then display a veniza performance in the very same game... halak has nights off... where he looks lost ... but when he plays this year, you know what you are going to get for 60 minutes ... but thats just my honest opinion.

Why isn't anybody mentioning that bad goal against Halak in the last minute? It was ultimately not dangerous but it was as soft as softies get.
You answered your own question. He made the big saves when necessary. Also keep in mind that the puck was backhanded, and it was rolling with Josh Gorges blade in front of the puck so it wasn't as easy to stop as you would think.

Great energy tonight!! It's nice to watch an ass kicking once in a while. It's a nice break for the old ticker, especially with only 15 gms left till playoffs. Keep this train-a-chuggin!!

I didn't actually want us to tank, but I can't honestly deny that I didn't think about how it worked out at times.

I believe that he will get a short term contract (1 - 2 yeards) at a lower cap hit in order to fit under the cap. By the time his next contract expires, Hamrlik, Gill, Spacek would all be off the books, which would add a considerable amount of cap space if I am not mistaken.

GOMEZ!! 8 pts in last 4 games! He's really playing well. <3 Gio and Pouliot. It really helps to have two good wingers! Now we just gotta wait on Cammy for sexy pleky

Interesting game. When we went to the boards we were pretty good. Astonishing. But we don't go too often.

Gomez the hungriest player out there, amazing first two periods especially. Even Spacek looked somewhat effective.

The last 15 minutes felt like a TB shoot-from-the-slot challenge. St Louis' goal didn't matter, but 5 minutes earlier or more would have scared me.
