Actually, Atlanta dominated play the final two periods...what time did you say you woke up?

HUGE two points tonight. Wasn't pretty, but at this point of the season...you'll take them in any way you can. No points awarded for style...

Ellis came up big tonight. Sure he got lucky on a couple of missed opportunities by Atlanta, but he made some tough saves along the way and ultimately allowed one less goal than Hedberg...so you take it and run!!!

Look forward to reading some of the recaps from our fans that made the trip down for the game! Drive home safely!!!

And with the victory tonight, Barry Trotz has reached 400 victories!!! Congrats to Coach Trotzy...now that we've hit the milestone, maybe they'll come a little easier???

There's one thing you hear about Trotz from whomever you speak with around the game and that's, "he knows his stuff". A really personable guy off the ice, Trotz has been at the forefront of establishing the family culture our franchise thrives on and has his fingerprints all over "The Predator Way".

Congrats Coach!!!

Didn't realize he had reached 400. Let's get some more and while we're at it get into the playoffs!

Congrats to Trotz on his 400th. Crazy last two periods (didn't get the chance to watch the first) great stops by Ellis.

Ellis was funny in the post game interview.

Woo hoo!!! We win and Detroit loses! I'm pleased.

I went to the Chill Out Party tonight... the joke was made that there were more people at O'Charley's than there were at Philips Arena tonight.

Will post my thoughts later... gonna go watch American Idol before my step dad gets home.

Any word on why Klein left the game early? With about 2 minutes to go he went to the locker room. Not sure if it was an injury or equipment malfunction.

Hey guys, just got back to Chattanooga from the game. Great win, and plus we looked great! Tons of Preds fans there. Honestly I would say a good 20% in the arena were Preds fans. So it never felt weird rooting out loud for my team.

We bought 3 10 dollar tockets. And around the 3rd moved down to the glass. Great seats!

We had a blast! GO PREDS!

Great first period! (the last 2 won't get it done against the other teams on this trip).

Sweet goal by Wilson! It's about time we get a goal off a bad turnover.

Timely saves from Ellis.

Congrats to Barry Trotz on W #400!! Quite an accomplishment, especially with only 1 team.

Great job to all Preds fans that made the trip to ATL. Even though they didn't show many fans on TV, we definitely heard you!

Great game last night! I thought the Preds played well and for once, didn't play down the competition. I feel like they knew this was just as important a game as any even though Atlanta is the easier of the road teams this week. Two points is two points and we need all we can get.

Ellis was great in net, facing 30 shots is pretty hefty especially from a team like Atlanta. Given that we have back-to-back games this Thursday/Friday, I assume he'll be in net on Friday again against Anaheim. I look forward to that because he's been doing very well lately (minus the sad loss against Detroit).

Love our goal scorers last night... great to see Suter get his third of the season and for Wilson to shine yet again! His goal just proves that he is a real asset to our team. He is so young and so strong, I really think we can build him up to be an amazing player.

I laughed heartily at the turnout down there. I can't poke fun too much because we ourselves are struggling with attendance issues, but goodness, the entire place looked baron. I saw on Twitter that about 11,000 people came, but I swear it didn't look like that many on television. I guess they don't have the same attendance "requirement" like we do?

We did good staying out of the box and we capitalized on one of our own power plays. Since we have one of the worst (aren't we 27th or 29th on power play goals?) in the league, it was nice to score on it. And we stayed out of the box for the most part! Just a good game all the way around (in my opinion).

Like I said earlier, it's great that we are keeping Detroit behind us. They aren't far, but now the gap has widened to 3 points and that's only a good thing.

EDIT: Oh, and congratulations to Barry Trotz for his 400th winning game! That's something to be proud of.

I like any gritty/big body player on the same line with Arnott. Hornqvist or Wilson seem to compliment Arny much better than Sully and or JP. The SAD line is just not that effective since Sully has lost his burst of speed and JP was knocked silly last year. Both are different players this year than years past.

NHL.com has the attendance at 11106, but man on my tv that looked pretty generous.

just got home from the game... I didn't think that there was over 10,000 in attendance.. I sat next to the tunnel right next to Pekka all game. The puck that went into the preds bench when we were on the PP ended up in my hands thanks to Mr. Sulzer. Met most of the players before they left the hotel, since we were staying right across the street. I have plenty of pics on facebook, and congrats to the boys and coach Trotz!

the pics of the girl and a pred is my wife, not me!

O'Reilly literally looks like he was sleep walking in that picture...why is it that only our two vets Sully and Arny look like they actually knew how to take a picture with a fan?

The attendance on the scoresheet is total tickets issued. Before any of us start posting smack about their low numbers last night, remember we had just 10.5k announced against Calgary in December and only 12.1k in our 3rd home game this season. They had a bad night .... it happens to just about every team. There was once a time when Detroit had a hard time getting the Joe half filled (a long long time ago when they really were the Dead Things).
