LW Chris Minard recalled from Springfield on emergency basis
Glad to see him get a chance in the show, he's played very well for Springfield.

Chris Minard
Oilers call-up Chris Minard on an emergency basis. I think he only has an AHL contract so hence the "emergency" wording.

According to capgeek he has a two-way contract. Not sure what the emergency basis is all about.

I think this is why. Frankly, with the way this season has been going injury wise I'm surprised our January call-ups weren't on an emergency basis.

A team is only allowed 4 call-ups after the trade deadline. Anything after the 4 can only be called up on an emergency basis.

You might be thinking of Linglet, who a handful of fans wanted to be called up before. With his injury problems Minard would have gotten some games much earlier than this. Emergency confused me at first, but the number of call ups makes sense.

He can't be any worse than Patrick O'Sullivan. This begs the question: Is anybody worse than Patrick O'Sullivan. No. He is the worst.

Patrick Thoreson is a superstar in the Russian Rec League I'm sure he would be better than O'Sullivan.
Toby Peterson and Patrick O'Sullivan might be the same guy. Not sure yet.

Wow. Someone really hates Patrick O'Sullivan.
Good for minard. He's certainly payed his dues in the minors.

i miss thoresen...he might of never panned out well, but atleast when he played he tried compared to some of the players on this team...even tho im not mad they aren't trying helps us get the first overall, but its pathetic.
i never once been impressed with cogliano this season/o'sullivan since we gotten him and penner..
