For all intents and purposes, they tied the worst team in the league. They need decisive wins against teams like Edmonton.

We got 2 points.

Halak and all the members of the PP should just forget about this game.

Now let's crush the Ruins on Saturday.

Oh and Andrei will start lighting it up now.

One of PHI or Boston had to lose, at least it was done in regulation (looks like a massive W by the Bruins too).

I know Moore is not first line material. But I think with his work ethic + the speed, he would make a better partner for Pleks and Andre than Pyatt perhaps. I like Pyatt a lot as well. I am just curious how Moore would look on that line before Cammy returns.

I really hope Martin puts in Price for next game. He's been lights out against the Bruins and it'd be nice to see him play well at home instead of always on the road. Price needs to get comfortable playing at home....I guess we should ease him into this.

Meh. Wasn't that terrible a game just because it was close. I felt we controlled the tempo and the puck most of the time. Halak was weak and there was a couple of defensive breakdowns but **** happens and you pull through. It wasn't a robbery, we probably just took them lightly.

After 2nd goal, I wanted Price in the net. I thought there was no chance for us tonight. Good thing my gut was wrong. K brothers were great

Are they bashing Halak on that show? If Carey had let in those goals, he'd be ROASTED to no end.

I have more faith in this team playing a heavily favoured power-house than playing crappy bottom-feeders.

Wasn't Ottawa like, 12 points ahead of us in January? They look almost attainable now.

What a terrible game. Even Halak stunk, and that's certainly not usual. This team continually tries to shoot itself in the foot. We were lucky to win. (And if Hammerlick refuses to shoot on the powerplay, get him the hell out of there. I'm tired of seeing the team working the puck around to give him a clear shot, only to see him hesitate until the opening closes. We need Bergeron back, and fast.)

It's normal for a goalie to let some bad goals go trough even brodeur does it. If you pull out your goalies for each bad goal they would have even less confidence that what they have now and going into the playoff thats not what you need.

Don't mean to toot my own horn but...TooT TooT !! See my GDT Post Below !!!
Also i am amazed at how many whiners there are out there. Oh no the Habs almost lost to Edmonton Boo Hoo !!! They also almost beat the best team in the Sharks. So does it work both ways for you guys ?

you should have the title of a Habs fan ripped from you !

3-2 Habs in a shootout ! it will be a very close game, P Quinn's team always play a close game against the Habs, expect Edmonton to try and intimidate the Habs early.
Everyone remember they want to finish last, we want to finish first.

In a perfect world all great teams should destroy bottom feeder teams. Do you think the Habs are the only team who've beaten Edmonton by a goal? Would you rather they lost this game? I can certainly tell you Edmonton didn't deserve this win more than the Habs. Habs struggled this game, but did have greater territorial advantage than the Oilers tonight. They were the better team for the most part of this game. There were several instances where the Habs cycled down low and seemed to have their way with the Oilers. I'm not worried.

Relax all you doom and gloomers. Pittsburgh lost to Carolina in a shootout tonight. Edmonton beat NJ 2-0 coming back from the break. With parity in the league, anything can happen on any given night. If it weren't for our inept PP and Halak's softies, we'd have won handily.

Not until Price is the #1 and he's playing every game uncontested, regardless of how this team does. At least that's what I can gather on him, it's Price or nothing.

Yes, it had nothing to do with facing the worst team in the NHL without 3 of it's best players

We've seen enough games down the stretch in previous seasons to know that teams like the oilers are very dangerous at this time of year. Look for more strange results rolling in from across the league from now till the end of the season.
