Has he struggled this year? Yes but so has the entire team. The one thing you cannot question about this guy is effort. We all know about the off-ice issues with the dad and character issues which dropped him to the 2nd round of his draft year but I think he has given it 100% this year...

He's also been very media friendly. The whole pink hair for cancer thing + always been available to the media...I think he really likes being in Edmonton.

I really hope they keep him around.
That's the part of him I do question. Every live game I have been too I tend to watch Sully everytime. The guy seems like a really lazy POS to me. He reminds me of the guy when your playing a pick up game he stays out there forever and when his team is on defense he is no where to be found but as soon as the puck is going the other way he turns it up a notch and can fly.

How many guys has Quinn called out this year? A lot of them but I don't remember him calling out POS...

He obviously sees something he likes.

lol...

I honestly don't think we'd be any better than 30th with Babcock but that's a debate for another thread...

One thing Quinn has always been good at it is telling it like it is. That's why he's been able to blast his team through the media all year.

Hand injury is code for you suck, sit in the pb.

Neck injury is code for you are a blight on this team, your attitude sucks, you are not going to besmirch this uniform another second, take it off and go sit in the pb.

Very true, I'm not saying I dislike Quinn or want a coaching change. Just that there isn't much more to go on for a coach other than his record with the team and as of right now that doesn't look good for him. Hopefully some youth on the team next year and some proper vets will help him out. Oh ya and a team that isn't made of glass.

The Oilers could call up Colin Mcdonald.

Penner-Gagner-Nilsson
Comrie-Cogliano-Brule
Potulny-Horcoff-Pisani
Stortini-Pouliot-Mcdonald

According to tencer on twitter O'sullivan isn't with the team for this road trip but Moreau is!

...Looks like we have a good chance at gaining some ground in the fall 4 hall sweepsteaks on this roadtrip!

Okay, time to play the numbers game.

Many on this board argue that guys who produce a ppg as underagers in the WHL and as 20 year olds in the AHL are going to produce at the NHL level.

16-17 year old: 34 goals and 92 points in 68 games in the OHL
17-18 year old: 40 goals and 81 points in 56 games in the OHL
18-19 year old: 43 goals and 82 points in 53 games in the OHL
19-20 year old: 31 goals and 90 points in 57 games in the OHL.

As a 20-21 year old in the AHL he scored 47 goals and 93 points in 78 games with the Houston Aeros...

I mean, for the love of god, how can anyone suggest we buy this guy out? He's still only 25 years old. Give him a freakin chance....What the heck is it with fans here wanting to run guys out after 1 season?
Ran Lupul out after 1 year and he's scored 55 goals and 110 points in 158 games since....
Peopled wanted to chase Penner out after his first 2 seasons and many want to do it again...

We as fans need to just settle the hell down and give these kids chances.

I clearly remember Quinn calling patty out, it was when he was whining bout getting benched. Hes also been a healthy scratch. Doesnt get worse than that. The coach thinks the team is better with you OFF the ice. Quinn said something like a guy who is -19 shouldnt be complaining. Of course POS has since turned it on like a good pro, i think hes like -50 now. Dead last in the league.

I agree with your point on O'Sullivan. He's not that bad where the Oilers need to buy his contract out. My biggest knack against the man is.. he has very shoddy shooting accuracy. His effort is usually always there. I wouldn't mind seeing him play another year in Edmonton.

No one would care about his plus/minus if he was producing offensively. His biggest issue has been consistency. He's had some stellar games this year...Remember the Toronto game in December? He completely dominated...

He just turned 25. He's still a kid.
