I thought our 4th line played well last night. They were more of an offensive threat then Nichol & Orts.

I don't think Trotz put them out there once the massacre started. That would make sense defensively.

Don't understand why Trotz didn't go ahead and call a TO after SJ score their 3rd & 4th goal.

Team's gotta dig deep tonight. Always seem to struggle at Anaheim, but they're a team chasing us and we've got to figure out a way to beat them.

Traffic and lots of pucks to the net is going to be key to beat Hiller and the Ducks tonight. Hiller will stop it if he sees it...butterfly netminder...so let's put it upstairs tonight and raise the roof!!!

It's not all that surprising when you look at his linemates and how he is being used..

BTW, that was an empty net goal

The team needs to show some meanness. Outlaw Josey Wales spit on your dog level meanness.

Dumont is on the 4th line b/c he's a lazy piece of crap. At least Leggy shuts people down...he's never gonna be the scorer people want him to be, and Poile maybe made a mistake paying him so much. But at least he contributes something even when he's not scoring. If Dumont isn't scoring, he offers absolutely nothing. I can't wait until we trade him.

We better destroy the Ducks tonight. I mean completely annihilate them.

If we don't, I have serious doubts about the postseason.

This is it fellas...do you want the playoffs or not?!

Its' been 25 games not 23, by my count. And yes, it is surprising regardless of his linemates when you look at his icetime. Plus Ward isn't just chopped liver out there. Somehow Wilson has already jumped on and converted a couple of turnovers since the break. Maybe Legwands line never produces turnovers. Which is sort of odd since they are the bomb defensively I hear.

The surprising thing is Legwand is only -2 in the plus/minus over that goal-less stretch. So they have played some defense and someone has scored some.

I guess the minus two and no goals and no peep from the coach or any sign of shaking up the line, shows that maybe Trotz is satisfied that we pay Legwand 4.5 million to lose ground only drip by drip. I will admit that drip by drip sure beats the heck out of last nights six goals against in one period meltdown...

Start to the game tonight will be key...the team knows they played 40 excellent minutes last night, but if they don't get out to a quick start tonight...they'll likely struggle to get going and again put in a less than 60 minute effort.

Must get off to a quick start and break the game down into 5 minute segments. Start stringing good segments together till it's all over and the guys can hold their heads high as they leave the locker room tonight...

I think we'll start strong, but if we don't build a lead we're done, because of playing two in a row, three games in four nights, and a plane ride in there also. I felt San Jose would have the edge last night in the third due to fatigue. Of course up 4-2 I still felt pretty good...

If our guys can play strong for 60 minutes tonight, my hat will be off to them, win or lose.

One of my favorite scenes is when he spits on the guy's white suit.

well.. here's 60 minutes to determine our season. (I know we will still have 14 games left)..

If we don't win tonight, we no longer control our destiny.
