Someone asked if we'll see a certain line combination tonight.... Have you been watching this season? We're likely to see just about every combination you can think of by the mid-way point of the game. I can't believe Avery is scratched. Maybe Tortorella should take the bus to Hartford with Redden this offseason.

I want to know what torts wants Avery to do be in "engaged". Avery lead the team in hits before he was taken off the ice, is that not engaging? Avery seeks out Kovalchuk to get in his head before a faceoff and what does torts do, immediately pulls Avery's line off the ice. Listen (not lisin) torts we all know you're a ***** and your ego is larger than life but don't make excuses for why you're benching a player to cover up your own personal agendas.

I actually sat in section 8 behind the rangers bench and i was screaming at torts to put avery back in the game and i said "torts enough of your ******** ego put avery in the game" and avery sitting all the way at the end of the bench on the right nodded his head. It is clear the two hate each other. After that I got warned by the security though so i had to stop yelling, but man does torts make my blood boil

Damn, lucky for you Avery was still on the bench, otherwise yelling at Torts like that you're bound to get a stick up the ass and a water bottle shower.

Must win for sure. But we have to put up one helluva Win Streak anyway to even have a shot at the playoffs, which IMO, is impossible with the mediocre defense and streaky offense we have.

This season has been painful. It can't end soon enough.

This sums up the season

Offense- Inconsistent
Defense- Inconsistent
Goaltending- Inconsistent, but relative to defense
Coaching- Baffling, and Poor

Playoffs- LOL

it's pretty bad we are arguing about avery and lisin 2 forth line players. The organization is a mess, one of our best players, EC was picked off waivers. Nice work dolan & sather. Anyway, I'll be cheering with a bag over my head, Atlanta rocks us cause we suck.....

I just finished saying that we need the Avery factor and Torts the genius scratches him tonight. Really brilliant.

The season will definitely be over with a loss tonight, and that's why I'm expecting them to find a way to win.
This team seems to always pull themselves back from the edge when everything is on the line.

Remember the "lose and Sather is fired" game against the Islanders?
Not that his job was ever really in jeopardy, but that's just example of the Rangers being one step away from rock bottom and managing to (temporarily) rebound. And that's why we're probably not getting a lottery pick this year, as much as we need it.

To be honest... the season has already been lost for quite a while now, and at this point I wish they would just fade away quietly.

I've missed the last few games because of work...Has Prust-Christ-Drury been a regular line? Seems odd to me.

Doesn't really make much sense to scratch Avery. Best case scenario Torts is hoping Avery comes out flying against Philly in a game which should be really emotional (although, there's plenty of other players who could be scratched under that mentality). Worst case scenario Torts is putting himself ahead of the team and scratching a player who has helped us down the stretch 3 years in a row and we need him playing well this year again.

Hopefully Lisin gets put on a high line and is in there to create some offense. If Lisin plays on the 4th line then why the hell not just put Avery there? Guess we'll see.

Maybe we're showcasing Lisin for the waiver wire...

414 and 99, although 414 seems to have a better picture.

I dunno what Torts expects of Avery anymore.Hell, I don't know what Torts expects of anyone any more.

Either the team will come out with a bug in their collective arse tonight or they'll turtle up after an Atlanta goal.

You saw them wave the white flag Wednesday, simply gliding out there.Atlanta gets out to an early lead, it could be a long night for the Rangers.

I hope I'm wrong.

Let's GO Rangers!!

Knowing this team and knowing this season, they'll do something ridiculous like come out and win 7-0.
