Michael Leighton was outstanding today. Extremely confident and rarely out of position. 39 saves and an assist should have been good enough for the first star.

If you have Comcast, it should be ondemand later. Right now the Boston game is still up.

For parties interested in a replay, it's replaying on Comcast in the philly area at 11pm on TCN. That's channels 8, 201, and 856.

Looked it up for my friend who had to work all day.

Danke!

I'm not sure about you guys, but I sure as hell like having a coach who shows emotion behind the bench.

So, this was from the game notes...
Quote:
NOTES: Philadelphia’s record for scoring a goal with the least amount of time remaining a game is 0.6 seconds, which has occurred twice: Freddy Meyer(notes) vs. Carolina on March 8, 2006, to tie the game the Flyers eventually won in a shootout
Just have to say, once again... the best regular season game I ever went to.

Actually don't remember that one, about to watch the highlights: http://flyers.nhl.tv/team/launch.htm...2,925&fr=false

Edit: Never mind, looks like it's broken.

Edit 2: You can watch the individual goals, no shootout.

Powe has a role on this team that he's very good at. He's fast, hard on the forecheck, and can PK I guess but isn't really on the top PK units. I'm quite pleased at the way Carcillo has changed his style this season, showing more discipline and skill.

It's no secret as to why - he's now playing for a coach who actually knows how to coach. It's no coincidence that it's the influence of Laviolette that he doesn't get goaded into needless fights, takes dumb penalties.

He still generally lacks the skill to be a long-term solution on a scoring line, but Laviolette has found a way to put him in a position to contribute with Mike Richards, whereas John Stevens could not (less 70-foot outlet passes have a lot to do with it).

Just caught the highlights. Looks awesome. Great win.

Also, for whatever reason, the Flyers Photo Gallery randomly has pictures of the Duke-Miami game dispersed throughout the slideshow.

Just saw the highlights. Goals 2 and 3 were both absolutely wicked. If only we could see those on a nightly basis!
