Love Sunday matinee games. Not as much as late-night west coast games, but they beat the pants off 1 o'clock starts.

Lets Go Rangers!!

I have a good feeling about this homestand.

Rangers win 5-1, goals by Drury, Callahan, Dubinsky, Gaborik, Rozsival

I highly doubt we'll take this one... I'd be happy if we can avoid embarrassing ourself both on the scoreboard and in the physical game.

Right now I’m hoping that we make the playoffs. A good win here will make me a believer….

OK do we get Carcillo Gabby II ?

Big win for our team! LGR

My only wish is that someone, anyone (not named Gaborik, that is), takes on Carcillo.

And as it worked last time; Don't win. Please.

I second that. Just show some heart tomorrow, that's all I ask.
I hate the Flyers.

Another huge four point swing game.

If they battle hard they'll win. Plain and simple.

LETS GO RANGERS!

Avery and Voros should be dressed in this game. There is no reason why one of them can't play over Lisin in order to take it to the Flyers. Sick and tired of getting pushed around by these guys.

no way avery and voros can both sit in this game

if they do and we lose (specifically from being pushed around) Torts should be fired

We all know Avery hasn't been avery this season but seriously to bench him and play lisin is unbelievable!

I loved Torts at first but am really getting sick of his bs

I can't see how Avery and Voros would be the difference between whether or not we compete physically.
Voros has about a 15% success rate in fights and Avery is an aggressive but small guy.

Shelley and Prust will have to really step up and do the job they're being paid for.
They're on the roster for games like this.

Avery may be small but usually holds his own in the fight.

I heard Flyers were stuck on disabled Amtrak train on their way here because of power outage tonight.
Back-to-back games plus bad travel... Hmmm...

If Lundqvist breaks his hand punching in Carcillo's face...

Daylight Savings in 12 minutes. I wonder which player forgets to set his clock ahead and shows up at MSG right before opening face-off.

Just lose, baby. Just lose. This season is over, and I would rather go forward with a higher pick than a lower one. This team has a lot of good youth, and I'd like to add someone really good to the list.

Long term, we are better off tanking than winning.

If that happens, watch Girardi jump off the bench and go headhunting with a stick just to prove that he really does like this team.

Flyers playing on SUPER short rest after playing today, and this game being so early.

Flyers 2 @ Rangers 4

I know I said on my blog that the Rangers won't make the playoffs, but it doesn't mean I don't want them to.

No word on the Flyers starter. Yesterday,I read where Boucher might start today but that was before Leighton's great play against the Hawks. I saw Leighton start a game for Carolina in Philly earlier this season and the pucks were going through him like the puck was a wet bar of soap. He looks like Mr. Vezina in Philly. Go figure.

The season is in the balance, almost literally tonight. They better come out and play like they give a ****. This is a pivotal game for this team. Last time out they were manhandled by the Broad Street Bullies and we all know the story of Dan "Lady Fingers" Girardi.

If they lose, they are one step closer to a high draft pick. If they win, they are a few points closer to a playoff spot. I could never root for the Rangers to lose, so for me the only option is to win out and then pull off some Oiler type magic and make a run.

Likely? No way.

Possible? Yup, it is. So, that's what I'm rooting for!!

That said, Rangers win this one in a passionate effort 5-2.

Callahan, Dubinsky, Gaborik x's 2, Joker

Carter, Gagne.

LOTS of rough stuff with Carcillo being forced to surely answer for what happened with Gaborik.
