Before I get into this, let me first state I am a fan of Geno's, the guy is very very skilled and naturally gifted with size, talent and the things he can do while being a skinny dude is amazing.

But, the guy has a poor work ethic and pouts whenever things don't go his way. Whenever he loses the puck, he usually does something stupid to get himself in the box or take himself even further out of the play. He does cough up the puck a lot with his random no look passes, more so than Crosby does (that bothers me too, when it connects it's a beauty but when it doesn't, it's a G-D turnover). I am hoping this year he learns that he needs to work hard at every part of his game like Crosby does and work a little harder in the gym to build up some more strength.

The problems Malkin has are determination/drive and a work ethic. There are games when you are like "hey geno of last year is back!" then a few plays later you forget he's even playing.
Overreaction? Exaggeration?

You know nothing about Geno!

He got healthy scratched so McKee could get some playing time.

Goligoski and Letang have been brutal offensively, but only Letang has made up for it with decent defensive play.

I think people make too much of this. You don't want McKee rotting away in the press box for the rest of the season and then being thrown into the fire in the playoffs. McKee needed some playing time and Gogo is the obvious choice to sit. That's it. Nothing more. I don't think Gogo's been that much worse than the other D-Men lately. He's just less experienced and lower on the pecking order, so he'll sit in these situations.

McKee played pretty well too. Some good poke checks, few good blocked shots and not bad on the blue line at stopping rushes or trying to keep the puck in.

I don't know, man. He had a ridiculously bad giveaway up the middle. I think it was to Brandon Bochenski, who luckily didn't score on the play. But it was a terrible decision.

He played OK, but we're better off with Goligoski. And I really believe Goligoski has played much better since we acquired Leopold. He's playing the left side more, with Leopold playing the right side. It's helped him a lot, imo.

Well he played better then he had been playing Ill say at least.
Im not saying he was great, I figured i might get burned saying that I couldnt remember any specific gaffs he comitted.

I will defly not refute were better off with GoGo.
Ive thought GoGos been playing real well with Leopold. Helps they have the speed to help each other out.

Citing one giveaway doesn't mean he had a bad game.

I said pretty well I didnt mean to say he was great.

And I admit me and the GF were flipping occasionally to college ball games when there was a close one in the final minutes, lol.
So I mighta missed a few plays.
