Yay for points! We finally didn't blow a lead this time around! Awesome. What's more awesome is that Teemu and Getz weren't available to the team, this team developed some mettle.

This should be a confidence booster to take one away from the Sharks! Let's hope for a long win streak back to the playoffs!

This is why Carlyle hasn't been let go because the team can play like this when motivated. Makes it more painful not to make the playoffs though, no we're not making it, this win is about 3 games too late. It's just extremely unfortunate that this team can play like this, but finish 12-13th in the west.

And unfortunate that we have to have a 0-5 session of games before we have a wake up call...

This dive certainly impacts the attendees at honda center.

Agreed. This was the same system used in the previous 5 games. The difference is that the players wanted this win.

Bah. Just when I was consigning myself to no playoffs and warming up to the idea of a good draft pick.

Well it's still good to get a win. Their minuscule playoff hopes stay alive.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. If they win against Chicago, I'll be a little more interested. I'm trying to figure out who to root for on Tuesday, Nashville or Philly?

Of course they only win when it would actually be more beneficial to lose. BTW, tonight marked the first game that I didn't watch all year long -- and it's not like I was busy.

Our announcers are so horrible. I used to defend them, but i just cant anymore. They repeat the same ****, constantly get the players names wrong (yes their own players! worse than bob murray) and are just plain bad. Sometimes i almost wanna mute the game.

Weird that they can carry the play against the second best team in the NHL but they couldn't even squeak out a win against Colorado, Nashville, Columbus and Montreal. Too little too late...

Hopefully Selanne is ok and can come back and get #600 and 602. He's one of the only reasons I'm still going out of my way to watch games this year.

It's been a bad luck season for Selanne. Hopefully he comes back soon.

And this winning thing is weird.

Just be thankful you don't have to watch streams where the majority of the time you are listening to the opponent's announcers. Our announcers are only bad to you because you listen to them every game you watch. Their homerism is there, as it should be, but not nearly as much as some announcers, and of course they repeat the same things every game...every announcer does in every sport lol. They all have little catch phrases they think are cheeky or funny and repeat constantly.

Saw this posted in the comments section of ESPN's recap of the game.

Quote:
For those who haven't figured it out by now, margie is borderline reta.rded. We all tolerate her incessant babbling and homerism because it's safer for her to be here posting than to let her play with knives or paste.

She'll disappear as soon as the Sharks choke -- so it shouldn't be too long.

I knew Vishnovsky had a good shot, but damn.

Quote:
Visnovsky got Anaheim's third goal just 55 seconds before the first intermission, going for the glove side on Nabokov with a 50-foot slap shot that broke off the goalie's left arm and trickled into the net.
