I'm not shedding any tears over Pyatt. He seems like a decent player and that's good for him, but how many fringe third liner types do we need? If that guy was who was needed to cement the deal, then good riddance. Anyone going to give Scotty Gomez a standing ovation? What about Perry Pearn?

If the Rangers win outright tonite, the will be in great shape to get the 7th spot however, they lose outright, kiss 7th spot goodbye.

There will be a lot of scoreboard watching tonight. BOS, PHI, TB, and ATL are playing. I'm not to worried about ATL, but TB could still be a threat to us.

Why 7th spot? You guys do not want the 8th spot?

You say that like it's a bad thing... I like Doc, its Chico that makes me grind my teeth. Something about Docs delivery is awesome to me, it grabs my attention (though he gets a bit wordy at times).

Anyway, dear Montreal, I love your city, but I HATE your hockey team. LGR! Big win tonight boys, lets go!

We have to hope for the seventh seed and for NJ to pass Pitt and claim the 2 seed. We can play against NJ...Washington, not so much.

Wow, I feel like I just spotted a dodo bird in the wild or something...nice to see that.

I'd like to see MDZ keep throwing the body around as well and maybe kick in a point or two, he's looked very sharp recently. LGR!

I hate emrick, his voice is nasally and he gets excited about everything. When im listening to him i think there are goals sometimes because of his excitement and it is simply a blocked shot.

i can't stand that clown

his voice is obnoxious, but whats worse, infinitely worse, is the words he chooses to say with that obnoxiuos voice

He sounds like he's constantly trying to impress people with his vocabulary and his ability to say the same thing 25 different ways

just call the ******* game nutjob...no one cares how many synonyms you know for the word bounce

I actually like him for that very reason. He makes the games more exciting which is absolutely necessary when watching the Rangers. There's no way I'm falling asleep when Emrick calls a game.

Yup. I was thinking the same thing . It's almost a given he gets one tonight. If the Habs only had some scrub backup goaltender to throw in this would be a sure NYR loss.

He is very excitable. I still remember getting into it with someone earlier this year when they said his voice was "monotonous." I mean, seriously?

I'm glad the game is on Versus. I prefer listening to Sam and Joe, but the Center Ice package I get through Comcast is not in HD, and is crappy quality even for a non-HD feed. So while the Versus HD feed isn't great, it's light years better than what I'm accustomed to.

Joe has been getting on my nerves more and more as the season goes along, so Versus isn't a big drop off IMO.

I didn't have a problem with him until people here started noting how he uses the same phrases over and over and over again. Now, he's a little irritating.

Still not as bad as a lot of the other guys in the league, I'll tell you that.

Good. Get ready for a night featuring plenty of jostling, occasional driving, a knifing here and there, and certainly more than a fair share of careening! Oh, and the night wouldn't be complete without a waffleboarding from time to time.
