Just saw this on Kings website. Richardson and Stoll switch spots.

Smyth-Kopitar-Williams
Frolov-Richardson-Brown
Modin-Handzus-Simmonds
Halpern-Stoll-Clune

yes very balanced lineup(dealing with what we are dealt). This lineup just shows what we never did through the balance of the year addressing issues with the line up through our management.
we take our #2 centre man who is front and centre on PP#1, on the pt, and put him centering the 4th line.
We take our 3rd line winger(frolov) who people were complaining about for not scoring while playing in a defensive role. Now he is expected to score goals. We also play our captain who plays like a 3rd liner on the right wing.
The 2nd line consists of A 4th line centreman thrust into a scoring role. A 1st line player who led our team for years in scoring, translated into a defensive player and now within a month of seasons end finally put back into a scoring role yet never addressing players he needs to play with to play well consistently. And a 3rd line role playing winger.
Balanced but dealing with what we are dealt.
I hope I am wrong as the playoffs are more than a good thing that is very much needed for the team and fans.

What else is Murray to do here...Richardson has been a better offensive player at ES than Stoll since he stopped towing #41. Stoll is not as good in a defensive role as Zus and he was awful when he played on the wing with Zus. I don't see any other place TM could have put him.

Still think Stoll is gone this summer, the team has way to much center depth.

So while richardson was in the pressbox last year you were asking for this line? You wouldn't want to perhaps make a trade to get a real 2nd line centreman considering the money is there now as we speak. You wanted this line, despite not being able to know that he would have a semi breakout? Despite his increased value he is by no way the answer to our 2nd line centre problem....Until he proves me wrong and I hope he does.
This is just the coaches tossing coins heads or tails trying to find solutions....

I think Stoll might be gone as well but our depth at center is less than impressive to me, that is for proven talent. No real 2nd line, offensive minded, or two-way center. All we have is third to fourth line centers after Kopi, an upgrade would be a vast improvement in my opinion. The way I see it is that Lombardi is waiting to see how Schenn, or Lokti has developed over the summer, and how either of them performs in training camp next season. If either makes the squad Lombardi most likely deals one of our centers. The dilemma I see is what happens if Lombardi thinks Either one could still be that 2nd line center, just not next year? do you still deal one of your centers, and/or other players for a player who is a little more offensive minded, that slots into that second line role? and for what price and for how long?

You were asking 2 years ago for Richardson to center the Kings' second line?

Yeah, the Oilers didn't think much of Stoll either until he was gone. The tangible aspects of the game that Jarret brings are hard to appreciate until you no longer have them.
