Actually half a dozen goalie injuries might be the only thing that can save us. Injure every second rate goalie in the system and end up being forced to call up an unknown kid who plays brilliantly.

A guy can dream, right?

Odds are better one of the initial call ups plays brilliantly than some unknown guy. If Bouch gets hurt, I wanna see every guy ahead of Riopel go down. For some reason I wanna see that guy get a chance.

it must be so deflating for a player to know deep down you have no chnace because your goaltending sucks. This doesnt allow the players to play the way they want as they will overcompensate for the poor goaltending.

Aside from a couple lapses last night's game was pretty good. Even Boosh played pretty well once he got his sea legs. Gonna be an ugly stretch for the rest of the season if Leights is out for a while.

It doesn't help matter when the whole team decides to take a stinking big **** on the ice rather than play hockey. Since the Olympics brake has ended, we don't deserve the post season

I think that is going a little too far. The Flyers played great last night and came back from a two goal deficit against one of the best teams in the better conference and one of the best teams in keeping a lead. Out of the nine games they played since the break they have gone 4-3-2. The game last night was a good game with some unfortunate events. The other OT loss was against Ryan Miller and that shouldn't even gotten to OT but for a lucky goal by Thomas Vanek. Obviously the Florida, Boston, Ranger games were ugly, but every team will have those games. Chicago was a great game and they played well against the Leafs. They had an up and down two weeks. Take a look around the league. Happens to every team. They need some luck down the stretch now that Leighton is injured. If this is serious I can see them making the playoffs and having an early exit unless Boucher stands on his head or finds a time machine.

Speaking of which, Ellis is a UFA at the end of the season... we don't want to lose him but it looks like you guys might need him.
Rinne is great...compared to what the Flyers currently have.
@Ellis, I'm not sure that our illustrious GM would have enough sense to try for Ellis. Maybe a new GM would but I wouldn't expect Homer too.

Eh, we actually played quite well...the Leighton injury sucked, but we applied a lot of pressure throughout.

Why wouldn't he? He's a 30 year old average goalie that isn't an established #1 in this league. It's the exact type of move the Flyers would make.
