Do you really think Drury is that great on defense? I sure as hell don't. He's average on defense and nothing what people make him seem to be.

He's also a -12 and Gomez is a -1.

Gomez played on the PK in NY without a problem... Even still, It doesn't matter who is playing the PK to be honest, its the guy between the pipes that makes or breaks a PK unit.

I don't think we would have sacrificed anything at all in terms of defense if we had kept Gomez over Drury. The truth is that Gomez had value and can still be considered a #2 centermen while Drury is borderline 3rd center.

Only if Gainey had asked for Drury

I think he'll have a bit of a rebound year, not 80 points... 40-45 isn't way out of the question considering he has 30 now.

He has two years left on his contract, he could score 80 in those.

Gomez's speed and passing would have helped Gabby...

Yep, drop passes at the blueline that usually lead to turnovers would really help Gabby.

Say what you want about Drury when it comes to his contract, but he's off the books in two years as opposed to what, 4 with Gomez? Even with his reduced production I take Drury over Gomez.

Swapping Gomez and Drury doesn't win us a cup. Completely agree.

Yeah, I think Gomez and Gabby would have been a good combo. But the fact of the matter is that if we don't shed Gomez, we never get Gabby. So it's a moot point.

Apparently Torts was not too amused by Drury's "immaturity" remark last night as per Andrew Gross:

"Q: Chris Drury said it was immaturity on the Rangers part in the loss, do you agree with that?
JT: No, I donít. I think thatís the wrong word to use by Dru and weíve ironed that out within the locker room today."

So, Torts..what would YOU say it is? Or do you just not have an answer?

I guess King John isn't happy when one of his subjects speaks the truth.
